We ordered beef and a chicken pho, both were delicious but don’t eat the lime green pepper in the soup. It was a 10 on the scale of super hot and spicy. Stomach went immediately into hiccup mode. The shrimp Salas rolls were Excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Cash only accepted and no one tells you these things upfront. There should be a rule for that.

Very disappointing food for something that has so many reviews. The banh xeo barely had anything in it and the pho was so weird tasting. For so many options in the area I’d suggest another place. Also although there are signs everywhere of accepting credit cards they insisted their credit card machine was down.

Warm beer and the worst Bahn xeo we had our whole trip. It was a soggy mess filled with sad looking shrimp and nearly wilted lettuce. I’m not sure where these glowing reviews are coming from, this is the first meal in my month long Vietnam trip where we said “this is inedible”. I think the only good thing to happen was the waiter getting our order wrong so we only had to try to eat one instead of two.

I think this was the first restaurant I ate in for my recent trip to Saigon. interestingly, it was completely emptied as i arrived but within the duration of my meal, half the tables were filled onward. This is also the first time trying a Vietnamese pancake.. it tasted better than expected, i thought it was gonna be a smaller dish… i was so wrong, it’s actually a main course so i was very fill by the time i finished since i also ordered a bowl of pho for the meal. everyone was great except the fact that I saw a huge bug kept crawling around and went onto other client’s feet… kinda grossed me out…

Clean, affordable, and delicious. The menu is straightforward and the service is so nice!
The taste of the food is top notch too. Really fun and good experience. The dining area is clean too.

We stopped by this restaurant for some pho and fresh spring rolls when we were feeling a bit peckish.
We’ve walked along this street several times before, and each time we passed by this place, it struck us as clean, cute, and inviting — the kind of spot that looked like it would serve delicious food. So this time, we decided to go in.
The menu didn’t seem to have a huge selection, but the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. Both the pho and the fresh spring rolls were delicious, and the coconut water was sweet without any grassy aftertaste — we enjoyed every sip.

Had our first lunch in Ho Chi Minh City here! It rained while we were about to check in at our hotel so we decided to stop by and eat pho. I had Beef Pho and my partner had their Special Pho. The beef was tender! I love the Southern Vietnam-style broth too.
Please try their restaurant when you’re in District 1

The bean sprouts were stale and didn’t look clean. There were 4 slices of beef. The rice noodles were good and the broth was tasty albeit a bit too sweet (pretty sure a lot of sugar was added)

Saigon Pho 39 was a convenient dinner spot near our hotel, and we’re glad we tried it! Their pho and banh mi were delicious—not the absolute best we’ve had, but still authentic and satisfying. The staff may struggle with English, but their warmth and passion for service make up for it.
The restaurant is clean, the food is reasonably priced, and overall, it’s a solid choice for a comforting Vietnamese meal.

Tried Saigon Pho 39 and overall experience was mixed. The phở was just okay — soup lacked depth of flavour but still edible. The fried spring rolls were good, and the bánh xèo was decent, though the rice paper was far too hard. I understand it’s meant to be softened with the greens, but that method didn’t work well here.
On the downside, our initial table had a dead cockroach underneath, so we moved to another table. Cleanliness definitely needs improvement. Service was also lacking — staff missed one of our orders and were not very responsive throughout the meal.
Plenty of potential if they can step up on cleanliness, service, and soup quality.
