I highly recommend this restaurant. My husband and I had been craving saganaki (Flaming cheese). I ordered Feta cheese and lemon wedges on the side. It’s always fun to see other patrons reactions to hearing Oompah and see the flame shoot up in the air!
We asked our waitress, Amanda, what she recommended. My husband had the baked chicken with red skin mashed potatoes and coleslaw. I had the Stir Fry Chicken with a side salad and a baked potato.

My husband and I decided to come to the Garden of paradise for breakfast and it was another great decision. The food came fast and was on point. His steak and eggs were cooked perfectly. I had the build your own skillet it was great. Our server Erica was the best really friendly and attentive. Thank you Erica for GREAT SERVICE!!!! We will be back

Second visit had to come back second day just to see if the first was a pleasant fluke! It was not! This place is my new favorite !! Hands down not just in BN, not just in Illinois but hands done winner! So hard to get a place with excellent service , speedy food, great taste and wonderful clean dinning! DO NOT PASS this one up!! Even a Sunday morning busy crowd does not deter! Amazing house hot sauce as well! Kudos! Special Thanks to Diane for amazing service!

We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. Our server took out drink order and gave us the time my wife needed to make her dinner selection. Food was good. It’s a very friendly place.

I Drove 40 Miles to meet a Friend here to eat Just to be treated like I wasn’t supposed to be there Very very Uncomfortable afraid to ask for anything carol was the waitresses Name She didn’t Say Thank You When you asked for something and I Thanked Her she did NOT respond to anything We said I Mean she gave us the silent Treatment Basically until I spoke up and said I’m sorry to bother you But can I get another drink …. Then to top it off I asked for a Sprite with Grenadine she said if we have any I was looking an entire Bottle behind the counter of the Bar that was located in the front …. I don’t go to bars I don’t drink and normally don’t go to places that serve it either but I knew there was grenadine and She brought it back to my table set it down and said it’s cherry Juice Not Grenadine. Very RUDE and will NEVER allow her to wait on me again I don’t stand for unprofessional behavior No matter where I am & Then to LIE on top of that cooked the cake for me …. I wouldn’t have a waiter like her that’s how you get No customers and Bad reviews…… I’m not one to complain But I deserved better service than what I received driving that far to eat ……. The Food was Great delicious everything I ordered was perfect but the service was NOT .

First visit because we were intrigued by the reviews. Our experience was not great. The fish sandwich had the thinnest sliver of fish wrapped in a huge hoagie style of bun. I slathered on tartar sauce with the hopes of making the most of it. It didn’t work.
Found the fish itself to be entirely flavorless. When the server (Emily C) asked, I gave her the same info. She offered to get more fish, which I refused since it was flavorless. No compensation of any other type was offered. She just walked away.
My wife had the gyro, which she said was so-so, with something being a bit bitter in the sandwich. It was one of the smaller gyros I’ve seen.
Fries with both sandwiches were bountiful and extremely hot.
Since the management doesn’t respond to reviews, my review or anyone else’s can only alert future customers – not drive any improvements.
With such a disappointing first visit, and lacksidasic server response along with many other restaurants in the area, I doubt will risk trying it a second time.
Updated review from 3-star to 1-star after paying bill. Was not asked how the meal was by the cashier. My wife noted that he (possibly the manager) had been alerted by our server.
Decision is easy: no need to return to a restaurant that isn’t interested in improving. So long!

Solid Greek diner. My wife enjoyed her burger, and my chicken kebabs were out of this world. Beef barley soup was very good too. I love when they give you a full bowl of soup as a side instead of a little cup. Rice pudding for dessert was mostly rice. I need to go back and try the Spanakopita just because they have it on the menu.
