I just had the BEST huevos rancheros of my life! The carne asada was seasoned well, the beans were so creamy, and the rice was so tasty. And I LOVE their fresh salsa. I wish had the recipe! (Prettt please?) Two runny eggs, extra fresh avocado, and their flavorful rancheros sauce — this breakfast was HUGE! Definitely enough for two meals. It’s gonna be hard to order anything else knowing that this gem is on the menu.

Service is warm and friendly. No wait if you sit at the counter. No frills, down-home ambience!

Amazing cafe with great service, ompletes were huge, stuffed with riped Avocados, veggies ect. We took Califonia omlete and Mexican style- amazing!!! Bluberry waffle with a mountain of Blueberries did not dissapoint. Even drip coffee was the best so far we had. Highly recommend this place!

Small little area but super friendly staff! Food was so freaking good and really enjoyed the homemade salsa. Full of flavor and just the right amount of spice.
I had a French toast combo, and husband had some omelet dish which he couldnt stop eating (even though he was full).
They have a 4% discount if you pay with cash so good thing to know for next time.

This busy café is no secret to locals, but if you’re just passing through—as I was—and looking for the best breakfast spot in the area (possibly the entire state of California), this is the place to stop. Portions are beyond generous, the food is second to none, and the service is attentive, all at extremely fair prices.

Wonderful service and delicious diner style breakfast and lunch. We ordered the country fried steak and tuna melt. The hash browns and curly fries were amazingly crispy and the wonderful accompaniment to the mains. Reasonably priced kids menu and really good pickles.

Stop by if you’re driving by or through!

Quantity and price way good. Unfortunately, quantity doesn’t make up for lack of taste. The burritos, chicken plates, and breakfasts were good but the flavors needed spice; stuff was rather bland, everything blending together. The burritos were well packed with filling, but it was difficult to taste anything but a mass of tortilla with tasteless stuff in it. We were set outside in the back of the facility under a tent, next to the kitchen. Still, the waitress was very attentive to us. The complimentary salsa is quite tasty, and the cafe de olla is not outstanding but decent. Will we go back? Possibly.

The perfect diner experience. Generous proportions, fresh avocado, cheerful quick service. Outdoor seating too.

My experience here was satisfactory. The service was prompt, considering the number of customers present. The staff was courteous and friendly. The food was generally good, although my torta could have used more seasoning. The bread was soft and the coffee was warm. The chorizo had a good flavor. Overall, this is a good establishment to visit. They have an extensive menu, including some unique items if you are not in the mood for breakfast.

This place is worth every penny. The breakfast is top-tier. I had the bacon breakfast burrito, which was the best breakfast burrito I’ve had in a minute. It was worth every bite. Also, it’s cheaper when you pay cash instead of card.

Despite its name, the Beach Street Cafe is lodged tightly like a splinter in the palm of a massive agricultural compound, surrounded by grey warehouses and produce pallets stacked like bricks in the Great Wall of China. Its wide counter is clearly intended to serve truckers hauling central valley berries, but it has plenty of tables for families as well, both inside its narrow dining hall and out. Several waitresses quickly accommodate you with an efficient but unhurried tempo.
The menu itself is quite expansive and not even all too expensive, particularly considering the portions. It’s littered with typos but has plenty of detail. It’s your standard Mexican American breakfast diner fare: omelets, huevos rancheros, pancakes, sandwiches, coffee… I opted for the huevos rancheros and the “homemade clam chowder” advertised on the wall, as well as a thin-tasting chocolate milk.
The huevos rancheros were quite good. Everything was moist without being greasy, which is an impressive feat with the beans and steak. The sauce on the eggs was rich and aromatic. It came with plenty of tortillas on the side as well.
While I tend to be skeptical of the authenticity of homemade clam chowders in general, this one was quite impressive. It came in a generously sized cup and again was rich and creamy without being too heavy, with plenty of bits of briny clam. My one complaint is that the garnish was placed *under* the bowl — I’m not sure how they expect it to get in the soup from there.
This is definitely a worthy pitstop for those driving up and down the California coast. Grab yourself some local berries while you’re in the area and enjoy your meal.
