Well this is the last time I go to famous daves. I thought I’d give em another chance. But this is terrible. Not only do the portions suck the meat is dry and cold.. I mean it’s supposed to be a bbq joint and thats the worst thing on the plate..
I guess I just expect a little more for my buck$$$$$
I will give kudos to the staff they were very apolojetic an tried to compensate. And in the end we got our meals discounted.

Stopped in for a late lunch and had the 3 meat sampler platter. Brisket, St. Louis ribs and the burnt ends. All were good. Not the best ever, but good.
The highlight was the service. I sat in the bar area. My bartender/server Annalisa (I believe) went above and beyond making me feel welcome, important and that I was satisfied with my meal. Thanks!

The Famous Dave’s in South Pointe was the very first one that I ever went into and as far as I know, it’s the last one standing in Nebraska. I love that restaurant so I’ll get to the point. I’ve never had a bad experience in the 22 years that I’ve frequented Famous Dave’s. The staff is always friendly and my food is always right. I’ve never had to send anything back because it was wrong. After 22 years, I can’t say that about too many businesses. I realize everyone doesn’t have the same experiences place to place. But it is hands down great food, atmosphere, and friendly. I don’t typically give 5 stars to any business because there is no room left for improvement. But I certainly have no complaints. I usually get the 6 ribs with wilber beans and coleslaw with a tall red Coors light. That is my go to.

Got a large family carry out. The food was good but there were not enough of the cornbread muffins which are a favorite. Some of the ribs we’re a little fatty but overall was delicious!

Really delicious food! We went during happy hour on a Thursday and there was no wait at all!
The chopped pork was so tender, the burnt ends were perfectly cooked. We also tried the coleslaw, peach cobbler, sausage links and ribs. Everything was super flavorful and cooked just right.
Servers were attentive and friendly too. Great dinner!

Welp, we learned an important lesson about choosing a chain BBQ joint. When we walked in the hostess didn’t even greet us. She just looked at us until we said “take for two, please.” She took us to a booth and walked away without saying anything. The actual server was very nice, though. We ordered the feast for two. Chicken was fine, ribs were OK. The brisket was not good. I actually though I was eating thin sliced pork chops. It was dry and had very little flavor. It had been quite a while since our last visit and will probably be quite a while before the next, sadly.

This might be a good place to dine if you are a gnat. If you are a human being, you most likely won’t enjoy paying $25 for two nibbles of dry, horrifically cooked meat. If you want to walk out of the restaurant feeling like you just got robbed, this is the best place around for that.
