My two friends and I recently visited Rajdhani, an Indian restaurant in Artesia, and had a generally positive experience.

The vegetarian thali was good, offering a satisfying spread of dishes. However, the undisputed highlight of the meal was the puran poli—it was absolutely fantastic! I’d happily return to Rajdhani just for that. The chaas (buttermilk drink) was another standout; I enjoyed it so much I had five glasses!

The restaurant’s environment was okay and felt clean, which is always a plus. Parking was also convenient and free. The only real letdown was the cleanliness of the restroom, which could definitely use some improvement.
Overall, Rajdhani is a solid choice for Indian vegetarian food, especially if you’re a fan of puran poli and chaas.

I was sorry to see how quiet it was; I haven’t been in awhile, so I don’t know why this is, but all of Little India seemed unusually quiet to me. Rajdhani’s food was the usual high quality that I always get, there, and the service was thoroughly attentive, as usual. I hope they, and the other stores, survive this slow period.

Our family and friends have gone to Rajdhani at 18525 Pioneer Blvd Artesia, CA 90701 many times over many years. Unfortunately, recently the quality of the food has gone down. The buttermilk is more watery, the food is cooked and fried in canola oil which is a petro based product, and the variety of food is more limited. The mango dessert no longer has saffron. :/

Otherwise, dishes do commensurate with a $30.00 per person price tag even though overall quality has diminished.

In addition, we like our table cleared of dirty dishes and napkins before enjoying dessert. However, when the server removed the dirty dishes but left the pile of dirty napkins for a table of four, we asked the manager to please clear the dirty napkins, she just outwardly blew us off. Then we asked the owner to please have the pile removed and she blew us off. When we asked a service provider, he said to just leave it there! :/ No trash cans were visible so we could discard it ourselves.

When we insisted, a sever came with a dirty trash can promptly us to throw it away ourselves. :/

The bathrooms are unsightly with no paper towels and the air drier is right by the door in which whoever opens the door to enter suddenly will bang your hands dangerously so if you don’t quickly remove them.

Finally, the manager lady herds customers like cattle with no curtesy whatsoever! Very disappointing experience.

I visited this restaurant to try their Gujarati Thali, located on Pioneer Blvd. Parking can be challenging with limited street options during peak times, but there’s a paid lot behind the building.

The ambiance is welcoming with a typical restaurant feel. It gets crowded during weekends, especially at peak hours, but there’s decent seating available, including patio dining. The staff is friendly and attentive, though service may be a bit slow when it’s busy.

This spot is known for its unlimited Gujarati Thali, which includes fresh chaas, dhokla, ghee-coated roti, poori, and a variety of sabjis. The meal ends with a single serving of dessert of your choice. The food is good, and one round of the Thali is quite filling, especially with the roti and potato sabjis making your stomach bloat. However, the price per person is relatively high considering the limited variety offered.

Overall, if you’re in the mood for some vegetarian food and want to experience a Gujarati Thali, this place is worth a visit, though you might find the price a bit steep for what you get.

GREAT FOOTFALLS, THALI AND MINI THALI ARE THE MOST SOLICITED MEALS. BY ONE AND ALL VISITING THIS JOINT, VERY TASTY WITH STARTERS LIKE DHOKLA BHAJIYA, A NICE VEGETABLE, BUTTERMILK, ADAALPADI, WHO IS PHULIKA, ACCOMPANIED BY RICE DAL OR KHICHDI, THE TASTE IS AMAZING. AND IN THALLI, YOU GET UNLIMITED SUPPLY IN MINI, FEEL IT’S THALI, IT’S A ONETIME SERVING WITH DESSERTS FROM A CHOICE OF 5 GULAB JAMUN. YOU HAVE GOT MOON THAL GAAJAR HALWA FALLOUT, THE ICECREAM FROM WHICH YOU CAN TAKE ANY ONE OF THEM VERY WELL MADE TEST IS AUTHENTIC AND IT JUST LEAVES YOU SO FULL.THAT AMAZING IS THE ONLY WORD.
Prices were on the higher side compared to other us places.

The food is bathing in oil. Not a single protein (paneer, or a proper daal) in the thali. The thali is quite expensive. 29$ before taxes. Ended up being 39$ with taxes & tips. Only potato sabji, watery daal, mango sabji, bhindi/pyaaz again bathing in oil.

Highly recommend just take the plate not the unlimited thali.

The daal is watery (almost a sambhar), rotis are dipped in ghee/oil rather than spreading some on top so they are very soggy.

For the number of items in the thali, the price point & the excess oil I give the food a health rating of 1 out of 5.

Service is good, people are nice 4 out of 5.

Desserts are also nice 3-4 out of 5.

Coming from bay area where buffets are sooo good & truly Unlimited & have thrice the number of items this was a major disappointment.

Rajdhani in Artesia (Little India) serves up an amazing all-you-can-eat Gujarati thali fresh, flavorful, fully vegetarian (with vegan options) and the staff is super attentive, bringing refills right to your table

. It’s a fun, casual spot with a solid 4.1★ average, great for vegans and vegetarians alike.

. A must-visit for authentic Indian comfort food in a lively setting!

You can get authentic gujrati thali here in SOCAL area. Food quality is great, just like home made food. Service is decent. Only few downsides are the waitimes which can be sometimes over 1hour depending on the party size and the price -I feel like 26$/thali is bit on the higher side for yhe variety of food they are providing. Overall must try once.

Lunch was disappointing with a huge gap between the thali that shows up on website vs what got served foe $27. It’s not the typical Rajdhani experience in India and as the server explained has no affiliation. Located on second floor with mediocre ambience. Plenty seating. One sees a piled up thalis on entering the restaurant. The host and servers are polite. One farsaan was a dholka and dry. No khichdi or papad or pickle..Food is what we came for and was a damper. Someone should visit the original Rajdhani for food flavors and variety.
