I recently dined at Aztec Mexican Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The food is simply excellent – authentic Mexican flavors that burst with freshness and boldness. I tried the sizzling fajitas Steak and chicken)and enchiladas, and every bite was perfectly seasoned, with tender meat, vibrant veggies, and house-made sauces that transported me straight to Mexico. Portions are generous, and everything tasted like it was made with love and high-quality ingredients.
The atmosphere is incredibly lovely and inviting – warm, colorful decor with a cozy yet lively vibe that makes you feel right at home. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic dinner, family gathering, or casual night out.
What really stood out was the staff – they are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and checked in just the right amount without being intrusive. Everyone we interacted with had a genuine smile and made us feel welcomed.
Aztec is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. Highly recommend it – I’ll definitely be back soon

Excellent very tasty hot Mexican food, drinks and desserts. Large portions size and great prices on food and drinks. Atmosphere is nice and spacious. For reference had the carnitas plate with rice and beans and beef streak plate. To drink Margarita and beer and churros with ice cream for dessert . Would visit again.

The food is not good I order a carne asada plate and the only thing with flavor was the fry jalapeño. The service bad the guy just took our order brought the food we were 4 people and he didn’t let my friend know the plate was hot so he burn himself. He didn’t comeback to ask us for any refills or any other items the we need it. One time and last time we go there. Taco bell has more flavor on the food than that restaurant. On top of that we got sick after the dinner. Never again. Also we were with 1 yearl old baby and the waiter just place the place close to the baby if the baby be getting burn or hurt that will be a issue you can’t play with the safety of a child.

Great food! AMAZING service. I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants, and the guys here are great! Very friendly and attentive. Chips were always filled quickly, shortly after being eaten. The prices aren’t too bad either.

Visiting this restaurant reminded me of my first encounter with Mexican cuisine. Then it was a mixed feeling of tastes. I can say that I am not a Mexican food fanatic. However, this time I liked it. There we were greeted by polite staff, and the waiter politely suggested the menu and helped to decide on the order. There were not so many people that day, which is very good. Delishes was amazing as was the majito. Before the main dish, they brought us glasses of water and tortillas with sauce. The sauce was very spicy but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the main dish and having a great time.

I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The name suggests authentic Mexican food, but the dishes didn’t live up to that promise. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas, and they had almost no flavor at all. What surprised me even more was that they didn’t come with any sauce. Mexican cuisine is known for its bold flavors and delicious sauces, so this felt like a big miss. Unfortunately, the food just didn’t match the authenticity the restaurant’s name implies.

*January 2025 – Still the best restaurant And staff in Kirkland!! 8 months later and we still love this place!! Only now, it’s completely prepped for post COVID-19 dinning and taking every precaution to keep customers and staff safe and healthy—all while maintaining the same level of delicious food and wonderful service. I LOVE this location!! Best place to dine in, on the Eastside! They’re the Starbucks of local Mexican joints, always on point. Their staff is the kindest and friendliest out of any where I have ever eaten. We consider ourselves regulars so to us they are like family. Your food always arrives so fast it seems impossible. Unlike some other local places, they have no problem substituting menu items for your food restrictions or preferences—I do not eat cilantro and my food is always perfect. Everyone works as a team to be fast and efficient, no one wants you to be hungry or thirsty for longer than necessary and I can’t say that about any other place. Their hours are great because my husband works graveyard and they’re open early/close late. I literally love this place and their people. Any negative reviews seem shocking to me, my husband and I eat here once a week (sometimes more lol) and I’ve only heard one negative review about food in over 5 years and it was about fajitas (I hate fajitas but they always smell delicious at Azteca). Sign up for their coupons with your phone number, it took us four years to realize this but you get a surprise after 9 visits! We love you Kirkland Azteca!

I wax there on Saturday for dinner. The restaurant wasn’t too busy.
Only issue I had was the server. I wouldn’t say he was rude but made us very uncomfortable. He was in hurry to get out order snd would not take any time answering questions we had. We felt very uncomfortable asking any question. For example when we asked about a drink , he said he doesn’t have it . When my son asked again, he got irritated and had no issue showing that to us.
The food was ok but I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want friendly service

I went last Saturday to eat with my family, the service of the waiters has always been excellent in my opinion, but the food was horrible, we ordered the Aztec soup and it had absolutely no flavor, it seemed only water, and also the shrimp (camarones al mojo de ajo), the salad was dry, the mushrooms tasted like sopa, we spoke at the end with the supervisor to mention about the food and he just got upset, it’s a shame, I loved this place, the food was always good and the service as well, but this time I had a very bad experience that probably will not make me and my family return
