But over the last 6 months I’ve noticed it all declining. Poorer service, (the server forgetting to bring is things we asked for, needing to be prompted 3-4 times, bringing us the wrong food orders, no soda refills unless prompted multiple times as well, not clearing the dishes off the table, etc.
And then 2 months ago the menu changed. It’s a really poor design, hard to read, no description of the food items so you don’t know what actually comes on anything, and they put the appetizers on a completely separate menu- that the server forgot to give us both times. We had to specifically ask for the appetizers menu each time.
Additionally the food quality went waaaay downhill, simultaneously with the menu update. The chicken quesadillas appetizer was dry and bland (that used to be one of my favorite items on the menu) the rice was dry, various other menu items were either overcooked or undercooked., and the mole sauce (one of the best mole sauces I’ve ever had) was suddenly bland, tasted different, and arrived on the enchilada dried out with a crust over it, like they had left it sit under the heat lamps in the kitchen too long.
And the music issue. OMG, the music. Each time we went the music kept getting louder and louder. I mean, the music used to be a little loud, but it was nice traditional Mexican music, and I liked it. But each month we went back the music got louder and LOUDER, and it got to the point where I couldn’t even have a conversation with my friends sitting right across the table from me- I couldn’t hear them over the music! Then, this past month they were BLASTING bad rap music- it wasn’t even good rap music, but really bad rap music- I mean, ABSOLUTELY BLASTING IT at SUCH an INSANELY loud volume that I couldn’t even think while trying to read the menu and order. I asked the server to turn it down, and they did for about 2 minutes, and then turned it right back up. I asked them if they could turn it down again and they ignored me. It was SO LOUD, and it was completely pointless to be there. Not only could I not have a conversation with my friends because I couldn’t hear them over the music, but I was horrendously overstimulated, and left with a terrible headache that took me a couple of hours to get rid of. NOT WORTH IT. NOT AT ALL.

Intended on spending $50 plus tax and $10 tip… Was literally looking forward to it as always
Ground beef chimi, rice, and a pomegranate margarita. ($22) Two slices of cake wouldve been added to go after the meal at $10

NO.. I cook food at home, and I know what pink ground beef looks like, pink meat is not tomatoes. The manager? Said ‘if it looks pink to you it looks pink to YOU’ and rolled his eyes.

Told the man no problem, just give me the check and I’ll leave. Im not going to argue, Im not even asking for a discount.

We called the restaurant and they said yeah that happens you should have asked for them to be packed individually….
If you have a known problem, wouldn’t you pack it so it wouldn’t be a problem for the customer?
They just don’t care.
