The service was good, nothing outstanding, but there isn’t much chance for outstanding service. The chef was a little entertaining, again, as you would expect from this style of dining. Frankly, it doesn’t appeal to me but to each their own.
The food was good! Very generous portions! Enough that I was full when I left, and there were leftovers that I brought home.
After mistakenly assuming for years that Yamato Hibachi wasn’t busy (the business and parking lot is somewhat hidden), we finally tried it and were blown away. This is a phenomenal restaurant that far exceeded our expectations.
The food is the best hibachi we’ve ever had in Virginia. The rice, vegetables, and all the meats—from steak to filet mignon—were cooked to perfection. The yum yum sauce was fantastic.
The venue is clean, recently renovated, and spacious. The customer service is a genuine 10/10, with friendly staff and talented chefs who put on a great show. It’s perfect for a family dinner or a fun night out, though be prepared for a lively atmosphere but limited in conversation due to the loud kitchen fans. Yet, Kids loved it.
Priced reasonably for the exceptional quality, this is a 5-star experience. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend it. You’ve truly knocked it out of the park! Bring a party of 8 and you’ll get an chef just for yourselves.
Hundreds of dollars monthly. I have always had a decent experience, with a few hiccups from time to time, which is to be expected. However, tonight was a horrible experience. My son and I placed to go orders for kabuki. When picking up the orders, I went to check my food and immediately noticed my broccoli appeared to be cut fresh, as if it was never cooked. I tasted it and it was crunchy and extremely hard. The bartender saw my face and said” are you ok”. I said my brocoli is hard, but it should be ok. We left. When I got home, and attempted to eat the food, not only was the brocoli hard, the rice was dry and none of the food had any teriyaki sauce. Dry, Flavorless and hard vegetables. Called the restaurant, hoping to get a simple apology. But had the “PLEASURE” of speaking to Ashley..who offered to refund the food but also wanted to scold me on what I should expect from Hibachi food when I attempted to tell her, there was no need to tell me, because I eat hibachi all the time, she proceeded to talk over me and then accuse me of yelling at her. lol..Finally ended that escapade and noticed my refund, but my son’s food was not refunded. He called back and got the wonderful “John”, Who debated my son down about how he should have handled getting bad quality food. And why didn’t he allow, the bartender to remake his food. My son never even tasted his food! How can the expectation be that the way this issue should have been resolved was to taste your food before you leave and wait another 30 minutes on a “remake” of food that should have been correct from the beginning. No Accountability for our money, time, gas, or experience that was taken from us. We were scolded for the restaurants inability to provide quality food! I will NEVER patronize this restaurant again! Make sure you check and sample your to go orders or Ashley and John will hold you accountable!
The bathrooms could have used some more cleaning, but over all the experience was really nice. Highly recommended.
Dinner and a show! We don’t know why it has taken us this long to try it. The food was amazing! Thanks to our server, Cameron, and chef for a fun night!
