I am writing this review because I want the owner to know that it is not cool to see a bug in my food. Tonight, I bought six piece of chicken with rice, however, to my shock I saw a dead cooked up roach in my rice. So nasty, and the roach looked fried. I feel like throwing up right now. I will never buy food from this place again.

I’ve been coming here for the past 10 years and this is the best fried chicken hands down in Houston. I come here every time I’m in town. There’s so much volume here that every batch is fresh. Service is quick and prompt. This place is a cash only place. They also have cheeseburgers , hot dogs , fried shrimp , and fried fish.

Tried this place for the first time based off of the reviews from co workers, I enjoyed the food. I can tell that the chicken wings are brined based off of the tenderness, it also has a slight kick of cayenne pepper on the back end of the flavor profile. The rice has a nice flavor as well, I’m from Illinois where I am not accustomed to peas and carrots being in fried rice so that would be my only take away, the rice also had bits of chicken in it, a little on the dry side but okay. It comes with a standard roll which I did toss but it appeared to be moist. Total came out to $10.81 for 6 wings and rice. I’ll give it 4 stars.

The only thing that will keep me from being a regular is the cash only option. I am a points & miles girl so I don’t believe in spending cash. My mom and I have been coming here for years !! Last night I decided to drop by around 6:30 pm and get dinner. There was no wait and service was very quick. The staff was friendly and willing to answer questions that I had.
I don’t recall ever getting a burger from here but I knew I was not in the mood for chicken. I got the double meat burger with fries and it was very good. The prices are decent and the food is often cooked in front of you.

They live up to their name. Hands down the best fried chicken in H-Town!! The chicken is plump, juicy, well-seasoned and is not overly greasy. The service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend this place!!
