Last night I had one of those unexpectedly wonderful evenings with friends at JT’s Porch — a place I’ve driven past a hundred times but somehow never stopped in. I can’t believe it took me this long.
From the moment we sat down, the experience was just… good. Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely present. She checked in often without hovering and had such an enthusiastic way of talking about the food that it made the whole table excited for what was coming.
The menu was almost overwhelming in the best way, but I started with the Reuben egg roll, and I’m still thinking about it. Handmade to order and an absolute flavor explosion. You could tell everything coming out of that kitchen was made fresh!
Then the entrées arrived.
This was not bar food.
These were hands-down the best chicken tenders I’ve ever had — broasted, not deep fried. If you know the difference, you know. Perfectly crisp, juicy, and somehow elevated beyond what you expect from a neighborhood bar.
And then there was the beer.
They chill the bottle in an ice tub before it even reaches the table, and you get a branded coozy for your bottle. My High Life has never felt so respected.
But the real mic-drop moment? When our waitress brought my to-go box… she brought the lid to my side of BBQ sauce separately so nothing spilled. That level of thoughtfulness is rare.
When we paid the bill and stepped out onto the porch, it was raining. People were laughing, smoking cigarettes, chatting under the awning — that cozy, lived-in neighborhood bar energy you can’t manufacture.
As I hugged my friends goodbye, I just kept thinking:
I can’t wait to come back here.

Wings were big and HOT. You know how you go places and you can eat the wings right away? Can’t do that here because they are freshly made. Not a fan of the spinach dip as it was too soupy. Bartenders were very helpful.

I rarely give reviews but I wanted to give a shout out to one of the bartenders Ashley, as every time we have been into Jts when she has been behind the bar we have had exceptional service. Our glasses were never empty, she was very attentive and continuously checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. She is always smiling and super friendly. I would highly recommend going in whenever she is working! Honorable mention for the amazing wings- that buffalo sauce is to die for, only wish they sold it.

We are part of a ski club. Our group of about 20 had an outing here last night. The food, drinks and service were fantastic. The place was packed and very festive. Several folks had the wings and also the salmon. I don’t know how our server kept track of everything but she did a fantastic job!

We were visiting this past weekend and in the mood for some boneless wings. Thankfully, I checked some online reviews before finding a place. Had it not been for the Internet, we would have never discovered JT’s Porch. DO NOT SLEEP on this place. Go get some boneless wings immediately. I went for the full 1 pound Spicy Garlic and it did not disappoint. The homemade ranch was also really good. Food was amazing. We will be back the next time we’re in town!

For a bar the food was 5 stars. The flaming honey garlic wings were SO good. I have the atmosphere a 3/5…the place is NOT dirty just feels like it idk maybe needs some updating. Bigger TV or outdoor TV would be a nice touch. Will definitely come back with friends.

On a rare trip to Chicago for a work trip, I asked my brother, who is a local, where he’d love to go to dinner together and he said that hands down JT’s has the best wings. And I couldn’t agree more!
After our 45 minute commute from Oak park, we arrive in the parking lot to a very eclectic setting of The the restaurant building, and going inside definitely gave a Tavern and saloon feel. Our waitress Suzy M was fantastic: attentive, friendly, and super helpful will we needed to make any changes to our order, refills, etc.
I started off with a beer and put in order of the 10 piece Buffalo wings, and we got a 20 piece boneless wings with a multitude of sauces: Teriyaki, spicy garlic, Bourbon chili, and Thai chili. Their wings were absolutely massive, and the buffalo sauce was the most unique that I’d ever tasted colon some combination of Buffalo and tomato base on top of a very crispy fried wing. Absolutely amazing!
For our meal, I got the Southern Burger with pepper jack cheese, French fries, and a side of hush puppies, and my brother got another order of the buffalo wings
For the three orders of wings we’re looking at about $55, the burger and beers Hush Puppies we’re probably another $35. It was a little on the pricey side for the wings but for their size and the quality definitely would come back

I hadn’t been here in three years and thankfully little had changed. My wings were huge and perfect. I get the bourbon chili sauce with blue cheese and a side of the hot rub (cayenne pepper), some onion rings and the Italian beef egg rolls. So delicious. There’s a pool table too.

Great food, easy going scene, very fair pricing. Excellent menu too! Definitely recommend the Italian beef egg rolls and they have a fish fry on Fridays with more options, but they also do a cod fish fry all week that’s hand battered and realllly good! The wings are also fantastic

Great sports bar with plenty of TVs and a wrap around bar. Outdoor seating available. The food is excellent. My favorites are the spicy chicken sandwich and pickle spears. Great service even when they are slammed.
