However, the situation we experienced felt unnecessarily rigid and upsetting. We were a group of six people, and my brother — who is a local law enforcement officer — was the only person we were waiting on. Everyone else in our party was already there, seated, and completely ready to order food and drinks. He was on his way after finishing a call, and we explained that we were happy to order his meal for him since he was actively coming. If his call had taken longer than expected, we would have simply taken his food to go.
Despite this, we were told that because he was not physically present yet, they would not take any drink or food orders from the table — even though the rest of us were present and ready. The hostess even stopped a waiter to reinforce the rule, which made the situation feel uncomfortable and inflexible.
My brother did end up arriving briefly to say hello and planned to pick up his food, but since our order had still not been taken, he received another call and had to leave again to respond. After that, the host came back and said they would finally take our order as a “one-time exception,” which honestly made the situation feel even more awkward rather than appreciated.
What hurt the most was not the policy itself, but the lack of willingness to show any understanding or compromise for a circumstance that involved someone actively serving our community. In a county that prides itself on being family-oriented and supportive of first responders, I expected a little more empathy.
We ended up waiting about 45 minutes before being able to order anything, which was frustrating and disappointing given how much we’ve enjoyed coming here in the past.
I’m sharing this feedback not out of anger, but because I genuinely hope the restaurant considers that sometimes a little flexibility or kindness can make a big difference in customer experience — especially for loyal guests.
I truly hope this was just an off moment, because I would love to continue supporting a place I’ve always enjoyed.

The food and staff were amazing and the views of the aircraft and airport operations is so fun
