John the Baker near Pembroke Pines, FL is a fantastic spot for classic, well-done Italian food. The pizza was thin, crispy, and absolutely delicious, exactly how a great slice should be. The garlic rolls were massive and loaded with garlic, full of flavor and impossible to resist.
The service was fast and friendly, making the experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.
The ambience is clean, spacious, and quiet, with sports playing on the televisions, which makes it a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a meal. John the Baker is a great choice whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy great food in a laid-back setting

⭐️ Overall: 7.5/10 — Solid Italian spot with great pizza, friendly service, and just a few small tweaks needed!
I tried a variety of dishes here and overall had a great experience:
Pasta Fagioli (6/10) – Good flavor but not soupy enough for my taste. Still enjoyable.
Garlic Bread (8/10) – Super soft and fresh, but could use more garlic and Parmesan to really pop.
Baked Ball of Cheese (3/10) – Unfortunately, this one missed the mark. The breading was bland, and the cheese itself was way too salty.
Meatball Sliders (7/10) – Tasty meatballs with nice flavor, but the bread was the same as the garlic bread (without the garlic). Very soft but too thick, and since you have to build them yourself, they didn’t really feel like sliders.
Meat Lovers Pizza (9/10) – The star of the meal! Crispy, cheesy, meaty, and evenly topped — every bite had flavor.
Limoncello Cake (7.5/10) – Light, sweet, and a nice way to end the meal.
Service: The servers were awesome — super friendly, attentive, and helpful with menu explanations. Big shoutout to Manny, who made the experience even better with his great attitude and knowledge of the dishes!
Definitely worth checking out — especially for the pizza. With a few small adjustments, this place could easily jump to a solid 9/10 across the board.

No flashy gimmicks here great food and fresh ingredients. Family style dine in with nostalgic Italian decor.
Stacy pizza ,garlic knots & tiramisu fire! cheesecake is decent. Greeted right at the front and the lady who took our order was very sweet . If you’re from the Bronx this is the closest spot you’re gonna get to Arthur Ave .

Order the Baked Ziti rich ricotta and John’s homeade family Tiramisu.

Ordered pizza and pasta – delivery, and Uber Eats brought the pasta but not the pizza. We called John the Baker and they said if we want the pizza we need to pick it up ourselves?! They said the pizza is still sitting there at the restaurant! So now we need to spend time on the phone trying to get a refund with Uber Eats and still have no pizza for our hungry girls.What is supposed.to be a convenience has turned into a major hassle with unhappy kids. John the Baker should have made it right. Plus, the clams in red sauce was all shells instead of the actual clam meat just being in the sauce like other places. Of course it didnt say that on the menu. I had to sit there and pick out every clam from every shell. Stupid! We wont be ordering from them again. Used to be good, but if they cared about our business, they would have made it right.

First time eating here. Pizza and garlic rolls were good. Our waiter was good and provided very good service. But the lady working behind the counter taking phone orders was very rude and disrespectful to my friends and our kids. We were enjoying the pizza and the kids were watching the UF basketball game. Of course they cheered when UF scored. This went on for a bit. When we were eating the kids keep cheering, suddenly the lady came to our table with the phone in her hand and told us to pretty much shut the kids up because she couldn’t hear the phone. We were all shocked this happened. There were not that many people in the restaurant eating at that time, so they weren’t bothering any other customers. And I’m pretty sure when the restaurant is busy, it’s louder than when the kids were cheering the team. Will definitely not return. Very off putting and brought our vibes down.

Ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese.. where is the cheese? Let alone “extra” that I paid for? My fiancé ordered the chicken parmigiana and chose fettuccine as the pasta option, the portion of that fettuccine was laughable. The food arrived cold and soggy, I would have been happier with little Caesars and that is saying A LOT. I will say, the garlic rolls were absolutely delicious. Thank god for the rolls, otherwise this pregnant girl would have gone to sleep hungry. First & last time eating from here, unless I just want to eat garlic rolls for dinner.

John has the best restaurant in town, Ive traveled from Minneapolis and my wife and I’s first stop is John the Bakers. Great pizza, great real Italian cuisine and John is a real member of the community. Always a pleasure to eat there !!!!
