Was looking for something to eat all day somewhere that we hadn’t been before, and we chose here since we are Chicago folks and this is a Chicago place. I got fish and chicken with mild sauce on chicken. Fish was the best I’ve had since we moved to Arizona. Fries were fried a bit too hard, but still good. Chicken was good, but wish I had got 2 pieces of fish instead of just 1. Wife got the rib tips and wings. She said the rib tips were alright, liked chicken much more. We will be back to try some different menu items. Worth the drive out there during rush hour that we took from South Mountain area.

Don’t walk run to taste my City Barbeque that was some flavorful Bountiful barbecue chips hard way I like with some spicy BBQ sauce but not too spicy Delicious ice-cold Fruit Punch Kool-Aid and a red velvet cake pudding it was delicious as well sweet but not too sweet the cake was nice and fluffy not dry and the owner was a very nice young gentleman I would highly recommend you go down there and check it out won’t be disappointed. That bit of fries was covered in big chunks of barbecue before I started I managed to save a little bit of the barbecue for my next lunch at work and it only got better with age so like I said don’t walk run over to taste my City Barbecue 107th Avenue and Indian School.

From the moment I walked in, the customer service was outstanding. I was greeted with a warm, welcoming attitude, and they were genuinely helpful walking me through the ordering process.
Now let’s talk about the food — absolutely incredible. Hands down the best BBQ I’ve had in Arizona, and I’ve lived here for 19 years. The flavors were bold, rich, and perfectly balanced.
I ordered the **rib tip/hot link combo**, and it was FANTASTIC. The rib tips were tender and packed with flavor, and the hot link had just the right kick. I also tried my friend’s brisket — it was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection.
On top of that, the restaurant itself was very clean, which always makes the experience even better.
Highly recommend Taste My City. It’s seriously delicious, and I already can’t wait to go back next week.

Look I was out minding my business working and I smelled something good. I said hey man what you grilling. He said chicken. I said Im about to come holla at you. I Kept smelling it while working I went as soon as they opened. I didnt know chicago people even bbq. Man when I tell you the chicken and ribs were tender and moist. The sauce was good too. (Im a fan of dry rub and wet bbq) Look Im from KC so I dont like every one bbq this was amazing. I dont frequent the west side often but I have a reason to now.

I love to support black owned!!! Always have and always will, but if I’m spending $28 for just me a meal and my food was not good…the yams were old, yes..as if they were saved from days before and pre-heated! The baked mac and cheese I ordered was not baked at all! Noodles overcooked! And the chicken, was suppose to be BBQ, half of bbq sauce was covering my chicken! Only thing good I got out the $28 was my kool-aid! Maybe I need to ask what day do the fresh food come , bc i definitely had left overs! It was horrible, mac and cheese was not in picture bc i had tossed it before i decided to take a picture! But the yams as you can see….We just have to do better for the price we pay to support! I’m sorry! To TASTE MY CITY…I didn’t come

Ordered catfish and wings . . . Best breading and flavor! Fried to perfection. Plenty of food. Priced reasonably for a family-owned business. Excellent customer service. We will come again.

The food was good. The smoke ring wasn’t even on the meat. Most of the flavor is in the bbq sauce. The interior of the store needs work but nice art on the wall. There was no cornbread with my combo it was Fries. Was hoping it was cornbread. Bbq isn’t the same without it.

Great food! Nice environment. Love that they play loud music to transcend your experience. I got catfish nuggets, rib tips and chicken, with fries. The price was fair for the portion size. The food is made to order, so be expected to wait. I would highly recommend. Importantly, it’s a Black owned business!
