First and foremost, I’m not vegan. I went for dinner because my daughter is vegan and she really likes the food there. That being said, I’ve been to other vegan restaurants and had better food, food that you might not even know was vegan. In my opinion (which doesn’t necessarily count as the food is not catered towards my needs), it’s mediocre. I will say that the desserts were fantastic. However, as mentioned, my daughter is very happy here so if you have someone that is vegan, you should definitely go as the people who are vegan will most likely really enjoy it.

I am in LOVE with the pasta at this place!!
It’s an unassuming exterior when approaching, but don’t let that stop you from coming in and giving their menu a try!!
Despite the small entrance, there’s ample dining space that goes quite far back, so you should be able to find a comfortable table to sit at and relax.
The service was extremely friendly and attentive, happy to answer any questions and promptly bringing out my wine and pasta in no time at all!
For aperitivo hour, which is every afternoon until 4 or 5pm I believe, you can get a $10 white, red, or rose wine.
I enjoyed a lovely (and generous amount of poured) rose wine while waiting for the Cacio E Pepe pasta, which was out only a few minutes later.
The Cacio E Pepe, like everything on the menu here, is 100% plant-based/vegan!
I love finding great spots with healthy, plant-based food – especially when the food is absolutely AMAZING!
And that’s what Pura Vita is – not only is it one of my favorite vegan pastas…but one of my favorite restaurant pastas – PERIOD!
The prices are a bit steep, with the Cacio E Pepe and several of the other pastas being $28+….but that’s just what you got to expect when it comes to dining in WeHo.
And the quality and flavor is most certainly there, so I’m willing to enjoy a delicious pasta here from time to time!
If you’re looking for a chill spot with excellent service, amazing pasta, and healthy, plant-based ingredients…Pura Vita is DEFINITELY the spot in West Hollywood.
I say give it a visit the next time you’re nearby!!

The most incredible vegan Italian food I’ve ever had. I got the Cacio E Pepe, tricolor salad and mozzarella sticks. Everything was delicious. The mozzarella sticks taste just like I remember, the cheese is a bit soft but enough bite and flavor to feel like mozzarella. The Cacio E Pepe had the perfect creaminess to it just like the real thing and the semolina pasta is great. The tiramisu is a MUST, the best I’ve had hands down vegan or not. Also Ciara was our server, they did a tremendous job at taking care of us and noting our allergies. I don’t give 5 stars out lightly, but this restaurant is deserving and I can’t wait to come back.

Labeled as the first all-vegan Italian restaurant in US. Good food. Great staff and an absolutely unique vegan take on Italian cuisine. Finding a parking space is difficult.

Excellent!! Hearty. Flavorful but still nuanced. Been going here for a handful of years and it’s always, somehow, even better than I recall. Very fresh ingredients. The BEST kale salad, anywhere – perfectly sized pieces, stems removed, and massaged just right. Cacio e Pepe and the Calabrese are highly recommended – but nothing tops the amazing baked ricotta. Kudos to Chef Tara for keeping this special place going during the pandemic and a subsequent challenging era in the restaurant world. Super friendly, chill staff and great service. I always feel nourished and well taken care of.

I ordered the pizza. It was good, not the best pizza in my life but not bad as well. It had a unique taste for sure. It was quite expensive this is why I removed one star. I don’t know if it’s worth that price (if the ingredients are organic then yes, I wasn’t sure from the menu). The restaurant seams very nice when you sit down. I would go back and try something else 🙂

Came here for an engagement dinner, so I had the pleasure of getting to try most of the things on the menu in one sitting! I’m not even vegan but I can say I’ve tried a lot of vegan food and this place is easily in my top 3. I LOVED everything. There wasn’t a single thing I tried that I didn’t enjoy.
On that note, this is a great place for vegans to take their omnivorous friends and make everyone happy
Please excuse some of the pictures, as they were served on the same plate since we were eating family style. They would most surely look much better if ordered individually.

This is our most favorite Italian place. We love everything here. You cannot go wrong with any of the pastas, pizzas or with Calzones. They also have some great cocktails.

I didn’t realize this was a vegan restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised — the dishes tasted very much like their non-vegan counterparts. The Caesar salad was perfectly dressed, and the carbonara was likely the best I’ve ever tried, rich and flavorful. A great spot that even non-vegans can truly enjoy.

The meatballs have an unpleasant after-taste and the carbonara was just very underwhelming. I would not try this place again. I actually wasn’t even able to finish these two dishes because of how unenjoyable they were.
