My wife and I recently enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Blue Sushi in West Omaha, and it absolutely deserves a full five stars. From start to finish, the experience was relaxed, flavorful, and genuinely enjoyable. We started with hot tea, which arrived quickly and set a calm tone for the meal—simple, warm, and perfect for a midday break.
The sashimi was the standout: incredibly fresh, beautifully cut, and presented with the kind of care that shows the kitchen takes pride in quality. We also ordered an assortment of sushi rolls, each one balanced, creative, and full of vibrant flavor. Whether you like classic options or more modern, playful combinations, Blue always seems to offer something for every palate.
We rounded out the meal with a few appetizers, all of which were delicious and prepared with thoughtful detail. Nothing felt rushed or overly heavy—just clean, satisfying bites that complemented the rest of the meal.
One thing that really impressed us was the newly remodeled dining area. The space feels bright, modern, and refreshed without losing the comfortable, welcoming atmosphere Blue Sushi is known for. It’s the kind of environment where you can enjoy a casual lunch, a date night, or a meal with friends and know you’ll be taken care of.
Overall, our lunch was excellent in every way—great service, fresh food, and a beautiful setting. Blue Sushi in West Omaha remains one of our favorite local spots, and we’ll definitely be back.

Wonderful fusion. We love the sushi here. The waiter was helpful with his suggestions. Its super busy, but even sitting at the bar is nice. We met mew people and had a great time. My favorite was the thriller roll. Spicy and lemony super original.

The music is too loud and the food is toooo expensive but the food is so yummy. Its the best sushi I’ve had in a long time. 5 stars for flavor! The roja roll is my favorite. Their salmon only rolls are sooo good too! Nice and fresh. I was kind of disappointed there wasnt any adult bentos or hot meals. But it is a sushi restaurant. The kid menu bento is 1 roll, rice or fries, edamame and old fruit. Not worth $13 at all.

We stopped in a little before 6 yesterday for dinner & late happy hour. It was fairly busy but we’re seated right away. Kala was our server and was amazing! She was very attentive and everything we ordered came out in a timely manner. We ordered the seasonal marg and jalapeno marg- so good! The manager on duty, Donovan, stopped by and checked in once we received our main entree. Also very nice and accommodating. We love Baby Blue and look forward to our next visit!

I’d get the crunchy LA roll again, easy to eat… and sweet chili on the side.
I would pass on the vegan Eden roll, but it was good. It tastes like veggies. (Order as an app)

SonI come there quite often and staff is very nice.There is one hostess up at the front, who does not seem happy to be there.She was a brunette with short hair. I went there during Super Bowl Sunday. And I asked for a table after I sat there for 10 minutes and waited,as the host Continued to ignore me she finally tell me there we’re closing soon and would not seat me, but this was at 415 And they had no signs on the door saying that they were closing early, so I wasn’t quite sure what was going on.I was having a very bad day and I just wanted sushi and It didnt matter if it was to go or not. I go to blue a lot and I spend a lot of money there and the way that Hugh treated me was not the first time.The manager was very nice and let us take our food to go.But that girl should not work there or she needs to fix her attitude and face because she doesn’t look happy to be there. I wish I would have got her name, but I never did.And that is why I continue to go to the other blue most of the time cause I never have problems. After that our server was really nice and he let us take our food to go.

My wife and I came here for our weekly date night. This was a new restaurant that we haven’t been to as this is tradition, when we go out for dinner. Upon entering, we are greeted with a smile and are quickly seated. Our waitress was gregarious and promptly delivered water. I have no complaints except I wish that the mango sauce that came with the crab Rangoon was a little more, substantial. The price was fair, and the service wasn’t too bad.

Went for our daughters birthday made reservations, we waited 10 mins after being seated to finally ask someone where our waitress was, she finally came to take our drink orders and again ghosted us, I had to again ask someone where she was & she reappeared , I asked where my drink was & she finally brought it over. Other staff were great, manager brought us a free crab Rangoon as you could sense he knew there was something up. We were never rude just hungry lol, wasn’t the birthday experience we expected. Food was good when it finally showed up. Let me add that this was a Monday night & the place was not busy & there appeared to be plenty of staff.
