The selections were plentiful and food was good. We chose calzones.
I was browsing other folks selections as the trays passed by and everything looked good.
Went with a group of nine today, 10/16. Our waitress was phenomenal and everyone raved about our food. The majority of us took home doggy bags.

The House of Pizza in Gloversville, NY was a nice place for lunch. It was busy but not crowded on Sunday afternoon. Our server was friendly and efficient. I ordered spaghetti and mushrooms, and was pleasantly surprised by the quantity and taste. My husband had pizza, and quite enjoyed his meal as well. The prices were very reasonable, so we will definitely add this restaurant to our list whenever we’re in the area!

Great pizza, great service! We were a party of 12 last Friday evening. Sophia was our server and she was friendly and professional. Sophia went above and beyond, offering us an empty table to set up our pizzas like a buffet (it was a snowy evening. Restaurant wasn’t crowded). Thank you for helping us all enjoy a delicious dinner at a reasonable price.

i’ve picked up grinders from here a few times, food is always amazing!! i’ve even dined in and it was great!! but every time i’ve gone through the drive thru, it’s the same guy. he’s never been respectful. the first time i was there in the drive thru, it was a little busy, maybe 4-5 cars infront of me. but your job is talking/deal with customers. you’ve worked rush hours before. he was very rude and spoke to me rudely. so i didn’t leave a tip, gfys learn to some respect.
i went tonight around 4pm to pick up my dinner, and there’s one truck infront of me, no one behind me. 2 cars. thursday night. i go up to the window, he says “what’s your number?” i tell him my number. and rudely, he responds, “what’s the order.” sir. i am paying you. are you paying me? he seemed to be irrated that i didn’t tell him my exact order. it is YOUR job to know MY order. it is YOUR job to talk to ME half way decent. if you are going to work in job that entails you talking to people, i dont care if you plan on quitting that night, if your spouse left you the night before. there is no excuse. you are to be nice to your customers, especially if they were nice to you. never again will a dollar i earned be given to this business.

So this was my first experience at House of Pizza. I’d have to say, I like coming out to Gloversville to get a break from all my usual haunts around Saratoga.

Family owned restaurants is the way to go, and House of Pizza isn’t an exception!

So our pizza was excellent. The cheese wasn’t greasy, and dripping. It wasn’t burnt, or flimsy. Very good. We ordered a small Hawaiian. The toppings were excellent. Not too little, not too much.

We also ordered a chicken parm sub to split. While it was a great sandwich, the chicken had a solid crisp to it. It was a little too crispy for me, but I’m not going to complain. It was still excellent, and something I would still order in the future.

The staff was very polite, and helpful. Our waiter was timely, and friendly. I didn’t catch his name.

The owner was also present, and personally thanked the patrons as they left which was nice. I haven’t been to a place like this in a while. So it was nice.

A good atmosphere. You could tell a lot of the local people ate there. So I do recommend it!

Oh, and I think they have a drive through. Which is crazy for a pizza place!

My first time dining here recently was a pleasant experience as I was told. Lovely setting, super polite and attentive staff and the food! Sooooo good! I rode with others, otherwise I’m not a fan of the parking situation. There’s plenty of it, but the drive through window makes navigating the parking and getting to the main entrance kind of blah.

We have eaten here about 10 times in the past 6 years. The last time was about 2 years ago. We left very unhappy. Today we gave it another shot. My husband’s salad was very good. My Turkey bacon club was just okay. It wasn’t like I remembered. Fries were just subpar . We really felt that on somethings the quality was a tad bit lower. The worst part was the service. It was terrible . We regretted dinning here. Our waitress was too busy to wait to even see if our order was complete. She literally left in the middle of taking our order. I don’t think we will return ever again.

I ordered a steak sub for lunch. Barely any meat and extremely chewy and bland as could be. The roll was going stale. The server was very sweet and kind no reflection on her. I’ve been wanting to check it out for a while and I was pretty disappointed. Not at all what I expected.

$30 for 2 steak “grinders” guessing they call them that because you gotta grind your teeth against the roll to get a bite.
I asked what came on it – was told steak and that’s it. I said not even cheese? No!
Ordered with pepper onions and mushrooms (on 1) and then cheese.. they put on only onions but charged for everything else. We thought we may have seen a piece of mushroom on one half. The bread was even worse than it looked – despite being soggy wet it was so rubbery and tough I couldn’t eat it. Wound up just eating the meat out of a half – which didn’t even taste very good. No seasoning at all. I understand they have a big following that keeps them busy – I admit the pizza is decent but everything else is not. Just expensive.

We did a pick-up order tonight, and it was excellent. We had a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. A full order of angel hair pasta with garlic, oil, and mushroom (which can feed 4 people) with a side salad. Nice job, House of Pizza! I also added some pictures of a current menu as I couldn’t find a complete one online. You’re welcome.
