I stopped by this hidden gem in Sun City, Arizona — a cozy, casual café serving up a delicious array of homestyle Italian dishes with a side of live music.

On this particular night, the entertainment was so good, I found myself dancing and grooving after dinner! It turned an already great meal into a full-on experience.

The food? Comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You’ll often find Paulie himself working hands-on in the kitchen and dining area, making sure guests feel right at home.

From the excellent customer service to the homecooked Italian classics, this is a dinner experience worth checking out.

Not even Italian but we always feel at home here. Paulie is amazing and his recipes are not to be beat. Would take home a bucket of meat sauce if I could. The atmosphere is immersive in Italian culture and even when the house is full, you can still hear yourself talk. Lasagna, is so bucco and the sausage and peppers will keep you coming back. All my visitors get to experience my favorite little place.

Fast service. Door dash. Pizza was warm. no driver issues. the pizza didn’t have a lot of sauce or any extra’s. if you order pineapple/ ham. ask for double portions. it wasn’t Bad. It just wasn’t great. No peppers or cheese was offered. But will try something else at a different time. Roxy

I loved that they worked with Arizona Golden Retriever Rescue by arranging that if customers mentioned it, Paulie’s would donate 20% to their great organization during the day of their Dine with the Dogs event, so I made sure I mentioned it! It was good to see the owner present and chatting with some folks, but the waitstaff seemed spread too thin so there were gaps in the service and the table nearest us was impatient with it. The sampler appetizer allows for some nice choices, but the amt. of each was skimpy esp. since the wings were tiny and only had 2 strips of celery and they were out of blue cheese, the toasted ravioli was dry, although the meatballs and sauce were excellent: a fairer price would have been about $15. They make a good thin, almost matzo-like crisp crust pizza which isn’t my go-to style, but great for carb conscious folks, and heck, I do what I must to help a great organization . I thought the overall prices were steeper than they should be for Sun City, but it does have better than average atmosphere with Italian flags and pictures of celebrities lining the walls which add to a comfy retro feel. There is also a gurgling fountain inside and although there was no music for awhile, eventually they put on some retro Italian music which was quite charming, and unlike so many restaurants today, the volume was conversation comfortable.
There’s a pleasant outdoor seating area with a fountain, and some potted trees although there used to be more and I hope they add them back as they were a type of evergreen that looked like those tall and pointy cypresses of the Mediterranean but they didn’t water them enough I watched them slowly die which was sad. They always allow dogs on the patio which is nice to see, lending a European air, so during the Retriever event there were more than usual. The dog volunteers explained to me that they don’t have an actual shelter, but they utilize a network of fosters to help save Golden Retrievers until they can be placed in a forever home. This particular benefit also provided special funding for those who have retrievers with cancer and need some financial assistance. It’s nice when a local business can help a local nonprofit!

Had dinner here a couple of nights ago. The meal was very good. We had chicken parmeasan (excellent), lasagna (good), fettuccine alfredo (good), clam spaghetti (good), and for an appetizer calamari (excellent). The restaurant is small and quaint decorated in an Italian theme. When we visited, the restaurant was busy and pretty noisy inside. All of the staff were friendly and overall we were happy with our meal and service!

The food and service were fantastic. The gentleman who sat us was extremely friendly and welcoming, as was the server Nichole.

The Spaghetti Carbonara with Chicken was some of the best I’ve had!!

My wife had the Shrimp Scampi Linguine and loved it as well!

Excellent Italian restaurant. We went for lunch. The decor in Italy colors , comfortable tables, chairs, looked like new covers on booth seating, waterfall, plenty of natural light windows, patio. Tables well spaced. Servers attentive and friendly and helpful. Delicious food! I had eggplant Parm on ciabatta roll. Superb! Perfectly seasoned (not salty! Thank you!) plenty of sauce and cheese. Generous portion of Eggplant cooked perfectly. Loved every bite. Thank you.

Been there twice! First time I got a combo plate witch had three of their signature items. Lasagna, chicken parmesan, and Alfredo over pasta. All three were good quality ingredients and were very good. However, got a pizza there tonight…….”Not a fan at all” very little ingredients, lack of sauce, lack of cheese, lack of flavor. I recommend dining there to be fair, but not pizza!

We had not expected to find this authentic Italian gem ! I had gone to the center for something else with my dad and sister, we were hungry and I saw the sign so we walked over. The outdoor patio was inviting, the menu on the outside near the front door called out to me!! We went inside and WOW. The atmosphere was homey yet elegant, with music in the air. The meatball appetizer was impressive and delicious. The house salad was fresh! The shrimp scampi with linguine perfectly made and plated picturesque. Top Notch guys !! Sister and dad hadn’t had Italian like this, and it was more than I had anticipated. Thank you for a wonderful dinner
