This place fell off the guy that works late night the register is ghetto and he over charged me and then gave me a skimp burrito all beans no meat then charged me for green sauce they didn’t cut the burrito in half just very disappointing knowing this place for as long as I have and it’s really fallen off came in jan 3 2026 1am mario marin was the cashier I will not return until i speak with the higher ups for this place

Absolutely classic tacos. These are some of the best I’ve had in Chicago. I don’t live super close, but I’d go out of my way to come here. Their chorizo is fantastic. Service is great and the sense of community is well established.

I ordered steak burrito. They steak is ground beef. Poorest quality of meat it was suspicious as i ate it as it was not tasting like steak .i paid for 2 steak burritos 2 steak tacos and an horchata it totlaed to about $40. Plus they charge to use the credit card fine i get it but the food was garbage the burritos were skinny .no avocado no chese ( avocado and sour cream i had some at home) i wanted to give a small place like this a chance but what i think they done me is robbed me of a good meal plus they robbed me of my time paid of a high price.thanks to these people my money will continue to go to mcdonalds ,burgerking or taco bell.just because someone amswers phone nice or they your people dont mean anything take your money to big reputable establishments.
These pictures shows me holding the meat to see it cleaŕly and i pur the red sauce next to it as the burritos are the skinniest i seen.it only included lettuce ,1 tomatoe ,”meat” beans!! Nothing more .see pictures thisvis no place for burritos.

The food was hella bomb! Never had a burger this good in a while and their fries is big in size and reasonable price. Alfredo was our server and he was so polite and took care of us. Highly recommended!

After 28-plus years. Never again.
Today was our anniversary. Due to my husband’s and my different tastes, he order from Mr taco and I got something from a different restaurant. We get home to find they didn’t give him his correct order. For 10 years I have been with him, he has only ordered the number 11 with chicken (he HATES steak) with only sour cream and tomato. We live about 5 blocks away and thought we would call to get our correct order. The second person on the phone said “He (my husband) never asked for chicken.” Therefore they will not replace/correct the order.
After the cost of the single order and my husband correctly saying what he wants (the same thing for 28 years). You would think they will just replace it for the chicken.
Nope. Not their problem if the girl (who took the order) didn’t listen to my husband’s order.
So clearly they don’t care about their customers and don’t need us wasting our time or money there. We are extremely disappointed.

I have been going there for 30 years always very consistent. The Spanish rice with the sauce on top is nothing that’s like out there absolutely delicious. I live in the northern suburbs and still drive down just once in awhile just to get it.
