This was my first time eating here. We had a 30 minute wait. It was worth the wait. I had a shrimp po boy with onion rings. The onion rings melted in my mouth. I was not disappointed. My wife got the flounder with sweet potato fries.I also got the chocolate mouse cake. It was awesome as well. This is a place well worth visiting.

My husband & I met for lunch while celebrating 21 years of marriage. Believe me we made the best choice.
I had flounder, collard greens & fried okra. You know how some ppl want to preserve the nutritional value of the veggies, but they are too crunchy? Not here. The taste is absolutely delicious while maintaining the nutritional value. In other words get the collard greens!
My husband had the Cove steak with onion rings & mashed potatoes. Sooooo good.
Oh! Yea our server was so nice. Honestly I could tell they all were nice & did their best to serve all customers in a timely manner.

So, I have heard about this place before, but never stopped by. It was my GF’s birthday and she was wanting Asian food, but Mizu happened to be closed, and this place is a stone’s throw from Mizu, in fact it is in the same shopping center as Mizu.
We did have to end up waiting 10-15 mins for a table, but they were very busy, and they were working hard to get lots of people sat down and served, so no worries here, they were efficient and orderly.
While I am sorry that my girlfriend did not get the Asian she wanted on her birthday, we are all glad that was stopped at The Sherwood, the food was incredible, the service was good, and the atmosphere was nice, and for 3 people, all with sweet tea of a soda to drink, got out of there for under $60 (not including tip).
I got the chicken fried steak, my partner got the Rueben, and my mother got the hamburger steak, she does not even really care for mushrooms, but she was eating those up as she consumed her poor man’s steak. I am also excited that this joint is fairly local and close to me! It was elevated comfort food, and everyone loves that, and I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu out!

We love the Sherwood. We always have a great experience with the food and the service. This time I ordered the popcorn shrimp. The shrimp were lightly fried( calabash style). These shrimp gave off( fish camp) vibes. Definitely recommend all of their food. Check them out!

The Sherwood is a gold mind for delicious comfort food that is prepared with love. This is shown by the extremely delicious flavors of all the items I’ve tasted on the menu. I stopped in for lunch and got the grilled flounder (seasoned just right,) creamed corn, sauteed spinach, and collard greens. I got an extra vegetable just because I love vegetables and The Sherwood has some of the best tasting sides.
I sat at the bar to eat. Tiffany was my server and she was awesome. Multitasking and making sure myself and all others had whatever we needed.
This is one restaurant that I would highly recommend and if you do decide to stop by tell K.K (one of family owner’s) Maurice said hello!!

I’m allergic to gluten and soy. The staff were extremely accommodating and double checked ingredients to ensure a safe meal. The ribeye steak was literal perfection! The blackened chicken was also delicious!

Dining at this location is always an enjoyable experience. The staff are always very courteous and helpful and the food is delicious. They are typically very busy during lunch hours, however I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes to be seated. That is how efficient they are.

Had a Christmas Dinner here tonight. Enjoyed myself in conversation so much that I almost did not take pictures. I love coming here especially after they sort of merged with the cooking staff from Oso Eats. The menu changed and got even better. They have options for everyone, from salads & wraps, to burgers & Main Chef dishes. I love their Pecan Chicken as well as the Madeira Chicken with mushrooms. However today I cheated on my diet and went with the Country Fried steak. It is a well coated and fried steak that does not need much else. It sits on some creamy mashed potatoes and topped off with a bacon gravy that’s not too watery or too thick. It is the right consistency and they don’t smother it, it’s just enough so that you can enjoy the actual steak. You get your Choice of side, I went with asparagus so I could convince myself that I was eating healthy. They also have a great selection of desserts. I got a slice of carrot cake that looked like it was on steroids, definitely it good for my diet. I I g was great, cake was a tad dry and I could have used more nuts in.it, my preference. My buddy got the Buckey which looked amazing and was probably about a million calories. He loved it and I trust his word. The ambience is casual family style with plenty of seating. There is also a bar towards the rear with a few TVs to catch sports. I love coming here and have loved everything I have ever ordered. It’s a strip mall so plenty of parking. Staff is always on point with taking g orders and getting them right, drinks filled and all with a smile. Love this family restaurant with reasonable prices. They also have two rooms that can be reserved for small parties.

I’m by myself sitting in the bar area and watching the staff As they are serving the customers. It is amazing how efficient and spot on they are with taking orders and serving the food in such a prompt and quick manner. What I ate was delicious which was the chicken and dumpling soup and the ham and cheese sandwich. Being that it is Christmas time, the restaurant stays full even at lunchtime and I cannot get over how hard everyone is working. Definitely recommend The Sherwood restaurant, if you want some really good home-cooked food.

My second time at The Sherwood! I’m glad I returned. Some church members and myself had our Christmas dinner here. Everyone was pleased with the food and service. I forgot to take a picture of my Salt/Pepper catfish special, it would have been an empty plate! Everything was excellent! I will definitely be back!!❤️❤️
