Tommy’s is a famous LA burger joint known for its chili pasted hamburgers and fries. It’s an institution for many. It’s also an acquired taste. But I acquired that taste some 30 years ago, and I can’t pass up having a chili burger. It met all my expectations. There was a slight hiccup in my order, but that’s OK. The prices are a lot more than they were when I started going there, but isn’t everything? If you need a taste of Beverly and Rampart, this is your place to go.

In my opinion Tommy’s World famous chili cheeseburges are the best and a MUST every time I’m in Cali. Once on way in. Once while I’m there and once on the way out. Don’t tell my mom. The perfect slices of tomatoes the cool crisp pickles and onions and chilled mustard total deliciousness. French fries extra crispy Lysol with their famous chili extra cheese diced onions and pepperoncinis on the side all washed down with cold pop. Sadly living in Arizona there is no locations in this state. Tommy’s chili over eggs and bacon topped off with a sharp cheddar.

Horrible I went through a drive through ask for a double Bacon Cheeseburger with light sauce.If she argued with me 5 minutes about what sauce that is and a thousand island. Never mentioned anything about chili. There’s no sign saying all the hamburgers come with chili. I opened up, there’s chili all over it. I returned it and she said ” well. You have to specify, ” specify what.I made it clear that I want to double bacon.Cheeseburger with light thousand island sauce. Very gross very rude absolutely unpleasant.

Staff were great no matter how hard a time I gave them, they kept a smile. The facility was clean. The food was plentiful for the price. The hot dog was a little tough for my liking, but everything else was good.

This is my first time dining at Tommy’s hamburger shop. We ordered a double cheese burger with mayo ketchup tomato onion and lettuce. And a double cheese burger with chilli. We ordered two large drinks and fries covered in cheese and chili. It cost around $26. They forgot lettuce on one burger. And the burgers were greasy. You can see the pictures. They were a little overcooked in my opinion. The chill on the fries and burger was just ok. The meat in the chill is more of a pasty consistency. If you like that then you are good. It was just a tiny bit spicy. The food was hot. The restaurant was spotless. The service was friendly. I would rather get an in and out burger any day.

We were here a week ago I just remembered to leave a positive review because sitting here with hubby talking remember that the guy in drivthrew was so nice to offer us ranch lol with our fries mind you we had no clue this was restrant quality food vs fast food drive threw we were so surprised that those fries were so good was not even expecting that also like I said the guy was so sweet to us for no reason so we like to leave positive feedback when it’s called for we will be coming back

Don’t waist your money. Nothing like the real Tommy’s in SoCal. $20 for chili dog combo that is completely inedible. Went through the drive through. Waited 15 min with only 1 car in front of me. Got home took 1 bite of the dog and fries. Threw it all away. Cold and obviously yesterday’s left overs. At 1:45 in the afternoon. Absolutely gross. Will never go back….

I ordered the double chili cheese burger without a bun.
They were a bit confused at first as to how to serve it. But quickly resolved.
Food was good. Chili was good.
Dining area was clean.
Service was acceptably quick.
There were very few people in the restaurant. I was here on a Sunday evening.
The only negative:
No caffeine free diet soda options.

Growing up in SoCal around the corner from a Tommy’s location pretty much sealed my fate. I love this place! For me, it’s comfort food that reaches the deepest part of my soul. I usually stop at this location when I’m passing through or staying in Vegas. The food has always been good here, as good as any location in SoCal. I usually come in the morning so that I can get my go to Tommy’s breakfast sandwich and chili cheese fries with tomato pickle and onion on top. The breakfast sandwich is one of the wonders of the industrial age. Just the combination of Tommy’s chili, cheese, sausage, and a fried egg is sublime, but that’s not all. They pair that combo with pickle, onion, tomato, and mayo, and then wrap it all in an English muffin-it’s pure umami Nirvana! The chili cheeseburgers and chili cheese dogs here are the best I’ve ever had. I usually don’t have space for them though. I reserve filling in the nooks and crannies of what’s left in my stomach for Tommy’s chili cheese fries. If you like chili cheese fries you need to try Tommy’s version. Again, they are the best! (in my unbiased opinion, of course) Personally, I think they’re even better than the best if you add tomato, pickle and onion on top. And by the way, the tomatoes at Tommy’s are amazing! You’ve never had tomatoes this good at a burger joint. For the uninitiated, it’s best if you wash down Tommy’s with Mountain Dew, or if you’re like me, Diet Mountain Dew. If you haven’t been to a Tommy’s before you need to make the pilgrimage and put your faith to the test. I am confident that once you do, you’ll kneel at the Altar of Koulax and pledge your undying devotion just like I have.
