No more second chances no more benefit of the doubt. This restaurant is my next door neighbors and we’ve bought food from here hundreds of times and we always give them the benefit of the doubt because it’s so extremely close to us an convenient. This place is the absolute most inconsistent food establishment I’ve ever been to in my life. Food quality has gone down. Today placed an order online it said the food was ready so went to pick it up. Waited almost 40 minutes there! Gave us the wrong meat for the torta didn’t put extra mayonnaise as we asked and the burritos lately have just been dripping with grease and makes the burrito wet and disgusting. No more chances vaqueros. We will drive further to get our Mexican food from now on and get better prices.

Finally got a chance to try Vaquero’s. This is authentic Cali style Mexican cuisine. Food is delicious. Portions are large. Cost is affordable. Everything I tried so far has been good… Definitely worth trying this place if you have not already.

I was excited when I seen ceviche advertised I had to try it out. Total bust. Ordered a shrimp ceviche tostada and was happily surprised by the large portion. Bite in and was met by a sad tasteless, lime-less, non shrimp tasting tostada. Okay my bad I didn’t ask how it was prepared.
Order two carne asada tacos. Again surprised by large portion to only get a tasteless taco swimming in tasteless avocado sauce and tomatoes. Customer service was really good. Good selection, but just a hard pass on the tacos and ceviche for me.

Don’t go to this drive-thru restaurant at night before the lady literally tells you, “Sorry, we’re closing soon, so we can’t serve anyone,” even though they still had about 20 minutes left. I don’t know much about this place, but what I do know is that my workplace, just down the road, is not allowed to tell customers that! I’m really disappointed. How are you supposed to tell someone, “Be right with you,” and then come back to say that? Whoever owns that place should be embarrassed that they have employees like that, and they should be even more embarrassed if they allow that. It seems like this place jumped on the bandwagon of not having good customer service. I know some people might not take my review seriously, but guess what? I bet if it were you or someone you love at that drive-thru and got told that, you’d react the same way.

My husband and I came to AZ for fun, and we said we’d have tacos every day at anesthetic Mexican restaraunt. Vaqueros was the first place we visited and out of the 5 places we went, it’s up there on top. The tacos were so good! The meat was tender and flavorful, the shells were fresh and crunchy, and the vegetables were fresh. We loved the shoestring fries too. Tacos are my favorite food in the world and I will dream about these ones every day until I get them again!

Spent about $30 on 3 ceviche tostadas, came home just to find out there’s zero shrimp and it’s all chopped up Tilapia in what tastes like tomato sauce smh. Tastes gross, so disappointed. Their Mexican food is great but give thumbs down on the seafood
