Really solid food. Portion size for the side was a bit small but overall happy with the quality. It is pricey but honestly not outrageous for an airport. If you avoid the drinks and sides you will get the best bang for your buck.

If you are looking for authentic Texas bbq this is not it. The sliced brisket is too peppery, the baked beans are not sweet, the street corn is spicy, and the potato salad is a northern potato salad. Too expensive to not taste good, I will pass next time I am at Dallas Airport. The staff did attempt to correct by giving me sausage and that tasted okay. If you have time to leave the airport Dallas has some of the best bbq in America.

Flight was delayed (bummer), however, it allowed me the time to experience Cousins BBQ! (Win!) I ordered the brisket nachos and was nothing short of impressed. A lot of tasty ingredients and a good size portion for a “party of one”. Service was pleasant and food was PROMPTLY prepared. There was great seating available and TVs to watch, even a bar that I didnt partake in. I’ve already told 3 coworkers this is a must stop if they have time. Finally, the side of hot sauce was a perfect heat as well!

Who knew you could get decent BBQ in an airport! The staff was friendly and enthusiastic about their food, which tasted great.

The meats:
When I first saw the brisket I thought the smoke ring was fantastic and bark was good, but it looked a little dry. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was tender and, while not the juiciest brisket I’ve had, wasn’t bad for lean. The jalapeño cheddar links and pulled pork were both excellent.

The sides:
That mac n cheese… yum. The beans were good too. We need to talk about that banana pudding though. I’d arrange for another layover in DFW just to get more of that pudding! If anyone’s feeling generous, I’d love a recipe to replicate it at home.

Cousin’s BBQ in Terminal B at DFW is a solid option, especially for airport food. The prices are a little high, but you do get a good amount of food and the overall quality is very good. I ordered the 2-meat plate with both chopped and sliced brisket, along with ranch beans and collard greens. Both sides were excellent and definitely stood out.

The chopped brisket was solid, but the sliced brisket was a bit disappointing. I asked for it “wet,” yet it still came out pretty dry. They did include BBQ sauce, which helped, but it was very thin—more like a dressing than a traditional BBQ sauce.

That said, I’d still come back. It’s better than most airport dining options and a decent stop if you’re craving BBQ while traveling.

Cashiers were friendly and efficient.
Food good… Brisket, Mac n cheese, greens and a beer. Texas toast not good.

Rather disappointed in the temp and size of the tacos. I ate them there so they should’ve been nice and hot. They were luke warm at best. That’s always disappointing to me because that’s one reason I don’t always travel with my own snacks because I like a hot meal. The tacos were pretty small but the cashier told me ahead of time. I’ve eaten a lot of tortillas in my life, mechanical and handmade, but these did not appear handmade in my opinion. Handmade has a look to it but these were super uniform.

Ummmm. This is pretty darn tasty bbq. Promise. I am a Texan at heart but live full time in New Mexico. But I am here to tell ya that this was really good. Moist. Not fatty moist but the word juicy better describes. I had a sliced brisket sandwich with 2 side. Mac and Cheese and Collard Greens. Equally tasty! Greens aren’t everyone’s favorite it after all stint living in Tennessee I grew accustomed to their taste! My meal was delicious. For reals. I know it’s airport food but I was impressed. Did t take long after I ordered to get my meal. That in itself was great. Soooo do t count this airport food out! The BBQ hit the spot.

I visited Cousins on my way through Dallas airport on a business trip. The staff was acceptably friendly but not very welcoming (really busy at the time I was there). I had the chicken breast salad, which was fairly good: the vegetables were fresh, and there was a good amount of diced chicken. The restaurant does have a sit-down area, and that was welcome after walking a long while to my gate, but the seats were stiff and a bit uncomfortable, and it’s in a noisy area; hard to relax.

Overall, Cousins served its purpose for me, but it was a smidge above average.

Had the chorizo and a brisket taco. The chorizo was good but extremely greasy, the brisket taco had good taste but damn was that ever some dry brisket. The service was fantastic though.
