Returned 7 days after my first visit, compulsive behavior? Perhaps. The sad thing about it is that this second time, food no longer seemed as well prepared as the first time. Still the place is very busy as is not a place that lacks servings of food. This place is for the voracious appetites that keep going back and forth, not for the gourmet insistent. Food a plenty! I just thought this second visit would be as good as perceived was the first time. My enthusiasm was diminished but quantities remain the same. 3 Stars.
Word to the wise. Big difference between lunch and dinner, yet price is the same. Case in point: wanted to find Duck as it is a rare place that offers it. Turns out is only served on the weekends, and particularly at dinner time. Today the lunch was considerably less appealing, of what I’m sure the dinner will be, but seems like Saturday and Sunday are the big winners in the end. At best 3 Stars.
7-29-2025 Okey I give in, fair is fair, Kwando Buffet may lack several things but freshness, amount, variety, value, service etc, are not part of it. On weekends it even offers duck meat, which most of the times is prepared nicely ant that for some this offering is a definite plus, and no, I’m not talking about those people that have ducks as pets, or resent the idea of having duck meat for dinner, but chicken or turkey is just fine. Food moves, crowds consume it and is an endless cycle till closing time. Seniors partake of a discount, and everyone leaves full. 4.1 Stars.
My girlfriend introduced me to this place and its been my go to spot for chinese buffet ever since. Any time I go to other buffets I always compare them to kwando as the gold standard.
The food is always super fresh. Ive never felt like I would get sick from eating any of the food served.
Their sushi options are extremely vast and you can even have your own custom roll made for you!
The staff is super friendly and always welcoming. They stay on top of everyone’s extra plates and keep the restaurant very clean.
Like I said before, kwandos is the gold standard for Chinese buffet! Keep it up guys!
The food was good..good variety. They had a salad bar, a variety of fresh fruit. They have an area you load up what fresh ingredients you want and then they will cook it for you which I thought was awesome. The dinner price is just a few dollars more and on Saturday and Sunday I think it’s a dollar more than the weekday price. I think with drinks for 2 people for lunch around $30 , which I think is pretty good considering fast food is now around the same price and this is all you can eat.
Really happy that my friend took me to Kwando’s
For the price you cant beat it and I will definitely be back The person that helped with our table she was so nice. I forgot to take a picture before I started diving in
The food consists entirely of premade, frozen items of poor quality. It carries unpleasant flavors reminiscent of old or rancid oil, while the consistency and textures are oddly similar to things they should never resemble. If I’m going to risk food poisoning, I would at least choose something that actually tasted good—unfortunately, this place fails even that basic test.
The atmosphere is atrocious—loud, chaotic, and uncomfortable—and the staff do little to improve the overall experience. If the health department doesn’t shut this place down soon, the amount of diarrhea already on the bathroom floor might do the job for them.
I’m not sure if I’d go again or not.
