Once we sat down, we were served a small bowl of potato chips which were pretty bland. We ordered the lechon kawali as a warm up. It was very crispy, dry and lacking in flavor. The sauce tasted like a mix between balsamic dressing and brown gravy, but didn’t really help improve the taste of the pork belly. For entrees, we ordered the Flip ‘n Patties burger and the mini Kamayan. The burger itself was good, but the unexpected pickle (not listed on the menu) kind of ruined the burger for me. The mini kamayan arrived mostly lukewarm, and several of the meats were dry. The chicken pupu was decent, Tito Don’s BBQ tasted like a dry bbq brisket, the longganisa reminded me of a seasoned hamburger patty. I skipped the fliproll after my friend said it was bland.
The decor is very casual, the service was friendly and attentive, and parking was easy with a free lot.
I ordered the Chinapay along with the $15 lunch special, which included the Flipanada and the Amboy burger served with hand-cut fries and their tang sauce. Everything was absolutely outstanding. The Amboy burger was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and satisfying without being overly heavy. The Flipanada was a great addition — unique and delicious. The hand-cut fries were fresh and crisp, and the tang sauce paired beautifully with them. They even provided extra fry seasoning, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated.
The quality of the food truly matches the price point. You’re getting fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and generous portions. It was clear this wasn’t just fast food — it was crafted with care.
