One of our favorites! Food is consistently terrific. From the apps to the entrees to the desserts .. eveything we (my husband and I) have had has all been carefully curated. Ingredients are fresh and of very good quality (salads, meat, seafood, …) and meals (including sides that can traditionally be mundane) are always so flavorful!! The atmosphere is great too! Very classic ivy-league-esque!! Typically very good service as well.

What a wonderful place! My husband and I stopped at Clark’s for dinner on our way to Florida from North Carolina. The building was so pretty, and that was our only clue to the wonderful dining experience in the restaurant. The bartender made the absolute best old fashioned and was so friendly. Our server, Zoe, was so helpful, kind, and friendly. The food was scrumptious! The gift store was like a wonderland. Our experience was so pleasant, we decided to stay the night in the hotel, which provided generous space, a comfortable and large king sized bed, nice amenities, and a great bathroom. Additionally, the breakfast that is included with the room was not like any we’ve had in the United States. Barbara welcomed us to the dining room and the three ladies, I remember Erica’s name, were efficient and friendly. We ordered from a menu and were served a hot, delicious, cooked for me country breakfast complete with fried potatoes, grits, and a buttermilk biscuit! We will be sure to make a Clark’s a stop on our way both north and south. An unforgettable stay!

Came in late, (yes I felt horrible) but Danny made sure I felt welcomed, and not rushed. The manager was also very nice when I called ahead, suggesting Items I could get in a timely manner.

My wife and I stopped by this establishment on our way home. They had a set menu for breakfast, with I believe four different meal choices. Coffee and orange juice was included, which I thought was great! The great food, service, and atmosphere are reasons for us to return. Hopefully we will get an opportunity to lodge there soon, because if I’m not mistaken, breakfast is complimentary if you are a guest.

Staying in Santee from out of town and my family was craving seafood. Folks at our hotel recommended Clark’s. The INN is a nicely built and decorated place. Its classic wood decor really brings the atmosphere up to a level that we really enjoy. The only regret we had was not booking a room there, but we will next time. We dined and had blackened catfish, fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, and apple crisp for dessert. I would have given five stars for the food, but had to take a star off for the apple crisp. There was no crisp. The topping was a bit mushy and had no crunch to it. Other than that, everything was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful and restrooms were immaculate. Plenty of parking and easy handicap access. Kid friendly as well.
