French Creole cuisine in a Victorian-style dining room, plus a cigar lounge & live jazz upstairs.

I ordered the pork belly and jambalaya. Both weren’t bad but nothing special either. Everything could have used more salt. My friend ordered the etouffee and said the same.
Service was not great. they only had one guy being the host, the waiter, and the bartender. There were several times where we didn’t get what we asked for in a timely manner, and it took forever to get our to go boxes and our check as well. Which is pretty crazy for a Saturday night. There should have been more people on staff for the weekend. Also, they charged automatic gratuity, and we only had a party of three which seems pretty weird to me.

Cute Area, Underwhelming Food
The ambiance was really nice, and the area itself was super cute—lots of little shops to explore, and they even blocked off the road for people to walk around.
Unfortunately, the food was just okay at best and definitely overpriced. I wouldn’t recommend the mushroom burger—it tasted like something straight from the frozen section. Overall, I’d come back to the area for the vibe and maybe to this place for a drink but probably not to eat here again.

My wife, mother, and I went here for Christmas and had a great experience. It was a very intimate setting with not a lot of people which I liked. The food was absolutely amazing! We all got the she crab soup as an appetizer and it was delicious! For entrees my wife and I ordered the jambalaya and my mom ordered the blackened salmon. My wife and I loved the jambalaya and my mom said the salmon was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive at the beginning but as more people came in we saw her less and less. She started to forget things that we asked her for towards the end and we would not see her for quite some time. But I give her a bit of grace because it seemed to be only 2 waiters including her and they also seemed to be taking care of the bar as well which is alot! Overall we loved this restaurant and would definitely go back.

The food was just okay. The gumbo and shrimp & grits almost tasted the same as if the restaurant used the same sauce for both. The service was good. We made a reservation to sit outside, thinking the heaters would work, but I still had to bundle up.

First time visiting this restaurant and it definitely won’t be the last. Everything from the service when we first walked in to the food, drinks, and atmosphere was on point. They have indoor and outdoor (covered) seating. The restaurant has 3 levels. The main entrance level is where you have your meal. The lower level has a bar w a Dj and the upper level is their cigar room which has a bar and live music. You can make reservations for the restaurant but it’s walk-ins only at the other levels. We went to the cigar bar after we had dinner. The live band was great!! Atmosphere was lively. They have a good air system as well, the cigar lounge didn’t appear or smell terribly smokey. Definitely recommend this spot to all! We will be going back!

Went to this restaurant on New Year’s Eve to ring in the New year. Although the menu was limited because it was part of a package that included the cigar Lounge upstairs and the lounge downstairs, the food was good. The restaurant needs to overhaul their ventilation system as the smell from the cigar room upstairs permeated the entire building. Could not enjoy dinner because of the smell of cigar. Not to mention the loudmouth threesome they put at the table across the room for us that were talking so loud. You would think they were talking to people in the next room. Then we decided that we would actually go up and enjoy a cigar, but the ventilation system in the room was so poor that the room had a cloud of smoke that looked like we were standing in the fog. Then we tried the lounge downstairs where the DJ was good but the bartender did not know how to make an old fashioned. Nothing about the drink I had tasted like an old fashioned. But I could get past that. But what I couldn’t get past was the number of people who came into the lounge area smoking in a room that had no ventilation. You are basically in the dungeon cellar of the building with concrete walls all around and no ventilation but they allowed people to smoke. Overall, the experience was moderate based on the fact that you couldn’t escape smoke anywhere. And this coming from a cigar smoker.

We used the patio and enjoyed the people watching along King Street. The food was excellent. The waitstaff was very helpful and attentive. The cheesecake was very good. It came with a fresh made sauce of crushed cranberry with a few other spices, which was an interesting alternative to a typical sweet strawberry sauce. Did not disappoint. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was great the food tasty and cooked to perfection! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. My husband and I will definitely dine here again! The price very reasonable and you got a lot of food for the money. They were not stingy with the food portions! You will not be disappointed

Went here for my 1 year anniversary and we had the best time. Our host was amazing and the food was incredible! The jazz and cigar lounge was our favorite part. If you go downstairs they have a DJ – its a mini club!

This place is always a great time! I especially love the live music that is taking place nearly every night of the week. I rarely smoke cigars but it’s fun to try one here. FYI….be prepared for your coat to smell like smoke for weeks! The bartenders are friendly and very fast. The people are chill and everyone is there just to have a good time. I’ve eaten in the restaurant downstairs and that is very good too. It’s been a while so I’ll have to go back so I can give an updated review on the food. Also, the dance club in the Bayou Room is a crazy time too. I’ll do a different review for that place.
