Just so-so for us. They were really busy on a Sunday when we were there. It took a while for someone to come to our table, but once they did, service was quick.
Server was nice, atmosphere was nice and prices were good. Food was not great. My husbands order was supposed to be 2 eggs over easy but we’re scrambled with lots of butter. Fajita nachos were ok, not a very big portion and not as good as other places I’ve had from other places. They did let me get combo of steak and chicken which was nice.
House lime margarita was ok and in special on Sunday ($5 for 12oz, $6.50 for 16). Didn’t taste the alcohol.

We have been here many many times, both for dine in and take out! I will say we have had a few minor issues when doing takeout, BUT the food was good! And that’s what matters! We have tried so many different things, and have never been disappointed with the food! The atmosphere is great! The staff is always friendly! I gave 4 starts for atmosphere, because sometimes, the music in the restaurant is so loud it’s hard to hear others talking at the table! BUT we love it still!

I have enjoyed this restaurant on two occasions and both times, I was very pleased. On my first visit to the Alpena area back in April, I sat at the bar and ordered fish tacos, they were delicious. I loved the margarita as well. Then on a return visit in October, I called with one day’s notice to see if they could cater a business lunch for me for 20 people and they came through with an awesome taco bar, guacamole, queso and GF tortillas. The team communicated very well with me and also obviously with each other as the order for the following day was exactly as I requested with seamless delivery. The office staff raved about the food! I will be back for sure. The management team is fantastic and easy to work with.

Really nice authentic Mexican food. The owners and crew make sure to take care of their customers with good service and great food. There are daily lunch specials at reasonable prices with nice portion sizes. The drinks are good overall, especially some of the drink specials. I always enjoy my time here.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Alpena. No matter what time we come in here the food and drinks are delicious. I see there menu has now added many American foods. I have not tried any of them my son said there burger was really good. As always our food was top notch. We will be back as this is one of our favorite places to eat.

There was a problem with my dad’s order, but I loved mine and they replaced his with an upgraded order and didn’t upcharge us despite me not expecting that and being beyond satisfied, including my father when he received the steak tacos. For a first time experience I was happy, salsa tasted rich and chips were fresh. Tough competition for any other places in town!

Visited Mangos for dinner recently with a party of four, arriving about an hour and a half before closing. We were seated quickly, which was great. Service was reasonable; I ordered the Birria Tacos (with beef) which came with Mexican rice. The dish was pretty good, with a decent amount of flavorful meat. My meal came out to about $16. We also appreciated the complimentary chips and salsa to start. If you’re looking for a quick and satisfying Mexican dinner, Mangos is a good option.

I am a beginner at Keto. Our server Carolyn ( who was very personable and fun) suggested I try the protein bowl on a bed of lettuce with the mango pico which was totally AWESOME ! ( The pinto beans are high carb, so ask for them on the side.) Hubby and I even split a fried ice cream, which was a freaking MASTERPIECE! Share it for sure! Great experience! We will be back!
