The service was great but the food could have been a little better.
They have a bunch of daily specials which is really cool.
My wings were dry and my wife’s steak was really bland. The burger also could have used some more seasoning as well. Overall the steak and burger was cooked well, just didn’t have flavor.
The atmosphere is really cool and it does feel like you are part of the town.

We decided to stop by Madison to check out the beautiful historic town, but first we needed to eat lunch. It was Labor Day, so not much, was opened and this place had a line out the door.
I ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and the big dog. Basically, a double cheeseburger, and my partner had the Patty melt.
You could tell the fried green tomatoes were made from scratch, beautiful, crispy batter but I didn’t like the honey part. I didn’t like the sweetness, just didn’t work for me. But not bad if you like sweet, it’s a good huge portion as well.
The burger amazing Great Char grill taste thick, piled on with lettuce, tomatoes and onions, delicious. I couldn’t finish it and normally. I can, but it wasn’t because the burger was bad. I just couldn’t eat another bite. So good.
My partner’s Patty melt was also delicious. Nothing left on the plate.
Would I come here again? Oh yeah.If you’re in town, I would stop by and make this a place to eat
Parking around town is limited. So good luck with that.

Wanted to take a casual counrty drive to visit the location of the Safari Conversation Experience, and since it was about lunchtime we decided to eat at this popular local small town restaurant in downtown Madison, GA. We were seated within minutes without any particular issues; however, our dining and service experience was deplorable. We watched as others who came onto the restaurant later than we did, be seated and served almost immediately after they were seated. We sat for an extended long time for service as waitresses walked by is as if we didn’t exist. Having grown up in a small town myself, I realize that eating in small towns can be a challenge for visitors sometimes, but our visit and lack of proper service was too extreme. We subsequently did not enjoy our meal experience. I can’t even comment on the food because of our experience. My husband, as gracious as he is, still left a very good tip because this is who we are. I can only imagine if our visit had been a warm, charming and pleasant one. To me this is what makes small towns so great to visit, their hospitality, service, and charn. Maybe the next passing through visitors will receive and have a better eating and all around experience than we did. So sad!!

I travel with my husband whenever I can join him while he works. Today we were in Madison GA and enjoyed such a delicious lunch – he had the club with a pasta salad and I had the French dip with okra! Our server was attentive and the atmosphere was charming! You need to go if you’re in town.

My friends and I stopped here for lunch on our way to Atlanta, and everything we had was pretty tasty. My French dip and green beans were great, and I heard nothing but praise for the dishes everyone else ordered. It’s a fairly quiet place, which was nice. The server was cool and had a wonderful sense of humor, because we can be a lot as a group when we’re out in public All-in-all a wonderful place.

My wife and I had a date night here for dinner on a Saturday night, it was our first time here. We enjoyed the food, especially the dessert, those little pastries with the caramel…omg! Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. We learned Mondays were $1 wing day so I brought our sons back 2 days later and man….those wings were awesome! They’re the big fat meaty wings, you can’t get a better deal!

We went in for dinner and the server was nice, took our order and brought our drinks. The food came out very fast. A little to fast as we had just received our appetizer. We didn’t see our server again until it was time for the check. We didn’t get refills and one of our dishes was incorrect. She offered to bring a new plate but everyone else had already finished and the person who’s food was wrong just ate a little from everyone. They took half off the dish even though it was visibly untouched. The manager was rude. Over all not great. Food was laking flavor and staff seem occupied doing other things.

To be honest, I have been eating here for 20 plus years now so I am clearly a fan. But straight up, lots of good food options and service is always excellent.
I do not live in Madison, I have always been 90 mins to 2 and half hours away from there over the years, yet I eat there a few times a year. I have also brought other guests over the years and they enjoy being there.
You will not be disappointed.
Also the town is super nice to walk around in.
