Reviews
When I received my order, the chicken tenders were clearly undercooked — they weren’t crispy and weren’t even golden brown yet. They looked like they needed more time in the fryer. I also had to clean my own table before sitting down. Communication at the counter was difficult, and I ended up using Google Translate to place my order. I don’t mind language differences, but as a first-time customer it didn’t make for a smooth experience.
Overall, the visit felt poorly managed. With better training and attention to quality control, this location could improve significantly. Right now, the experience reflected the rating.
i just came here 11:30Pm 11/10/25
first thing i got to say is the girl working the drive through has ZERO customer service skills. She acted and sounded like she didn’t wanna be there at all. Like AT ALL.. And looking at these comments i can tell this isnt the first time this employee has acted this way. She is a hispanic lady and no name tag so didn’t catch her name. Any manager reading this please train your employees better because this is clearly an ongoing issue.
my other compliant is that we asked for fresh fries and you can tell they just tossed old fries back in the fryer. really gross.
the chicken was okay. You can tell it was sitting out for a while it’s okay though because it tasted good. Only the pieces are smaller than i thought but for $7 i am not complaining on the size . i love the chicken from popeyes. Never been to this location apart from today… probably won’t come back at night. i’m sure the employees in the day time are nicer!
I just visited the Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen on TV Highway, and I genuinely thought I ordered chicken strips — not deep-fried resistance bands.
These things were so hard and chewy I almost filed a workers comp claim on my jaw. I’m a cook. I know the difference between fresh and “been under the heat lamp since the Obama administration.” This was the latter.
I brought them back politely and asked for fresh strips. The employee looked at me like I insulted her ancestors. She grabbed a manager. The manager walks over, says “Oh, not fresh?” like this is shocking news, grabs my box, and then — I kid you not — uses tongs to LAUNCH my chicken across the room like he’s trying out for the NBA.
Then he casually puts different strips in the same box and hands it back to me.
No apology. No acknowledgment. Just poultry theater.
I take a bite. Same texture. Same chewiness. Same “why is this happening to me” energy.
At that point I realized I wasn’t a customer — I was a participant in a live cooking experiment titled “How Long Can We Keep This Chicken Before Someone Complains?”
If you’re craving fresh chicken, this location may not be it. If you’re craving a front-row seat to aggressive tong performance art, five stars.
Do better. Fresh should mean fresh.
The overall aesthetic of Popeyes is perfectly fine. That’s exactly what you expect from Popeyes. The food is what you’d expect as well. I have had no troubles or issues as far as consistency with flavor in my orders. I do think that the service here is a little bit needing improvement on as it’s completely Hit or Miss when you’ll get a actual person through the drive-thru.
The first time it happened, I called multiple times and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. The second time, I was able to speak to someone who took my name and number and asked when I’d like to pick up the corrected order. I explained that I live in Tigard and that the reason we have it delivered is because the store in Aloha is far for us. We agreed on a Saturday pickup.
When I arrived, the manager on duty, Claudia, told me I needed a physical receipt in order for her to help me. I explained that I placed the order online and had the digital receipt on my phone. I even offered to show her my call history to confirm I had spoken with someone at the store. She refused to acknowledge that a mistake had been made or that someone had taken down my information. She said they had nothing in the office regarding it and was unwilling to help. It honestly felt like she just wanted me to leave.
I paid about $40 total for a $30 order because of delivery fees. If I’m paying extra for delivery, I expect the order to be correct. And if it’s not, I at least expect the opportunity for it to be corrected — along with basic customer service, like an apology. None of that happened.
I also felt there was a communication barrier during the interaction. It seemed like there was difficulty understanding each other, but regardless, the overall attitude was rude and dismissive. I’ve worked in fast food before, and while I understand that “the customer isn’t always right,” we never let someone leave feeling ignored or treated like they didn’t matter. Even when we couldn’t fully resolve something, we made an effort to show care and respect.
Upper management really needs to look into this. If this is how regular customers are being treated, I’m sure they’re losing valuable people who order every week or even every day. There needs to be a better communication system and a better way to document mistakes so situations like this don’t fall through the cracks.
For comparison, I actually prefer the Popeyes – Regatta Ln location instead. I’ve had issues there in the past too, but they were incredibly helpful and caring when resolving them. It’s only about ten minutes from this location. Unfortunately, for some reason, the app doesn’t always allow me to select that store when ordering online. If you have the option, I would absolutely recommend ordering ahead from that location. They’re busy, but they do an amazing job taking care of orders, and their customer service is outstanding.
Unfortunately, after this experience, I won’t be coming back to this location. It’s disappointing because I was a loyal, consistent customer. At this point, it’s easier for me to just pick up food on my way home from work in Portland than to pay extra for delivery and risk incorrect orders with no support when there’s an issue.
Ordering from mobile app while at home was easy. Picking up through drive through however was not happening for us. It wasn’t prepared when I arrived. In fact it seemed like it hadn’t started until the moment I got to the drive through and mentioned the order name.
I also felt like ordering an additional little extra on top of the regular order so I ordered a sandwich and some spicy rice but they were all out of the rice. It was today I learned that Rice was something you could run out of. So I resolved for more Cajun fries despite the main order already having two large fries within.
The app never gave a wait time, no “expected pickup time” or anything. It was at least 10 minutes between order sent and my personal arrival. There was an additional wait time due to fries needing to be made.
In the long run we all had our meal but for me in the short run as the driver, I was left dissatisfied.
