I used to enjoy visiting this Denny’s with my family, but our recent experience was disappointing. Prices have gone up while portion sizes, including bread, have noticeably shrunk.
Kid’s Meal 1 ($6.39): Two chicken tenders and two strips of small bacon.
Kid’s Meal 2 ($5.79): Mac & cheese with bacon and sausage—sides were too small.
Senior Meal ($11.29): My mother-in-law’s favorite salmon dinner now had smaller portions and bread.
My Meal ($16.99): Chicken fried steak—price increased, with smaller portions and bread.
Overall, the rising prices and shrinking portions make it hard to recommend this location, especially for kids. I am not sure if this is the corporate policy or just specific to this location. The changes here are significant.

My family and I were at Denny’s. I ordered broccoli, brown rice with salmon, and pancakes for the kids. I love the coffee at Denny’s — it smells so good. The food was mouthwatering, but I didn’t like the unfriendly waiter.

These people are the worst people I have ever encountered. And they did stuff to my food-disgusting. Ordered 2 orders of pancakes had long dark hairs in EACH ORDER. Coincidence? Just dirty? I think not. Considering they continually called me sir when I am clearly a grown woman. I do not know what these people issue is with me. I honestly feel it is a racial issue. It really hurts for ppl to be so mean for no reason. I can forget that though. To put someones hair in my food… i am at a loss for words. Thoroughly disgusted. Ruined every Dennys for me. Its 930 pm on a Thursday. Be careful eating here around this time with this shift. Not sure if they are just bored or what but i will be seeking further action for this behavior. Beyond unsanitary. Wish i could give them negative 20 stars.

Always an amazing friendly atmosphere whenever we have breakfast there. The minute you walk inside, you’re greeted with a friendly greeting and a warm welcoming. Tony, our server was super kind, attentive, and always came by to check on us to make sure we were doing ok and that our food was good. You can tell he loves his job because of how he treats all of his customers and is always smiling. He’s very respectful and caring. Definitely would come back to eat here regularly!

Last weekend, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at the Denny’s in Irvine off Sand Canyon and the 5 Freeway, and I must say, the experience was outstanding! Food was great. I came at 6am. The steak, hash browns, fries and French toast were the highlights. My sister got a vegetarian patty for her slam burger and no bacon. She enjoyed very much and loved the French toast. Coffee was perfect.

I’ve tried this place a few times now. The food is okay at best, and service varies significantly depending on the server. The atmosphere feels cramped and congested—even when it isn’t busy. Being right next to the 5 Freeway adds constant noise, which only adds to the uncomfortable feel. If you’re here late at night and options are limited, it may be serviceable, but it’s not a place I’d go out of my way to visit.
