The rental car guy told me about this place so we went directly from the airport. They only take cash (pesos and USD) and are located off the beat and path (meaning not the tourist zone) so be mindful. Place is a neighborhood joint outside the city so not high end, no bells and whistles, no frills, but great food at excellent prices. House special shrimp are super popular so we got them. Although they were tasty we would not order again bc they are grilled shrimp that are grilled too long so the shrimp are damn near impossible to pull out the shell which means 1) you’re eating shell with the shrimp bc it’s stuck to the shell and impossible to get off or 2) you’re wasting the shrimp bc you cant remove the shrimp meat from the shell so you’re just done with it! Either way, you’re unable to eat all the shrimp which is a waste. If they served shrimp with no shells with the house special sauce on it over rice – OMG that would be the shit and I would order it all day long. We also got the grilled red snapper and lawd hammercy that ish was fire! We’re driving back 45min one way to eat here every day of our trip bc it’s just that damn good and prices are phenomenal. Service was good too. I would recommend driving here straight from the airport before going to your hotel. Im a foodie and hands down this was the best grilled snapper (and huge) we’ve ever had in life. Place was full of locals too which says EVERYTHING. Come hungry, leave happy.

Camaron Cuchupetas is all you need to know when coming here. Grilled shrimp with cheese and seasoning is fantastic. Shrimp and octopus is also fantastic.

This place really lived up to its reputation. Amazing assortment of Sinaloa style seafood including some of the best oysters, scallops, aguachile and fish dishes I have had in Mazatlan. Great service, super casual atmosphere and no wait at 2:15pm on a Saturday.

The hype about this place is there for a reason: the food and the atmosphere were excellent. The waiter was young and inexperienced but he’s on track to become a better service provider. Nevertheless, I definitely recommend this place.

Great seafood, reasonable prices and good service. It’s worth the 30 min drive from Mazatlan. The place is well known and very busy, but worth the wait. Once finished drive another 25 min and visit the small town of Concordia.

This is one of the freshest and most delicious places to eat Mariscos. We ordered a dozen oysters, callo de hacha, camarones cuchupetas, a pescado sarenando y pulpo serenando. All ways cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. Thus is a must try!!!
