It’s hot outside! It’s nice and cool in the dining room at Athens Krystal on 72! I had a craving and they always satisfy the delicious taste of a Krystal. I asked for some pickles on the side as I needed a hydration moment, they were kind to get me some. I forgot to say “spicy ️ chick” but that’s ok my belly is happy! I have more grass to cut and errands to run. Everything was great, fast and temperatures were correct! Thanks Y’all!

We visited the Athens Al Krystal’s yesterday afternoon 10-16-25 around 5:45. We went inside. The drive thru took and delivered 12-15 orders as we waited at the counter. I kindly told the person that was taking peoples orders that we were in a rush after we had stood there 20 plus minutes. She told me that they were short handed. Why could they not take our order in between drive through customers??? We couldn’t wait any longer and left with no food. There was at least 3 other people that were inside at the counter and got tired of the long wait and left with no food also. This was very service.

Been Loyal for Years, But This Was the Last Straw
I’ve been going to Krystal’s for years, and I’ve never been this disappointed. I ordered two chili cheese fries, and when I pulled off and got ready to eat, I noticed the containers felt real light. I opened them up, and it was barely a handful of fries, hardly any chili, and no cheese at all. Just sad.
I went back through to let them know, and the woman at the window was instantly rude. She said they “haven’t had management in years” and that workers have been “giving out too much.” Seriously? That doesn’t explain why I barely had anything in my order to begin with.
Then she had the nerve to say we should’ve said we wanted extra chili and cheese, but I didn’t want extra. I wanted a normal portion that actually looked like chili cheese fries, not dry fries in a half-empty box.
This isn’t what I expect from a place I’ve supported for so long. Y’all have to do better. This kind of customer service and portion stinginess is exactly how loyal folks stop coming back. So make sure you ask for extra fries, chili and cheese if ordering a chili cheese fry..

Wasn’t going to leave a review but I’m still sad about this. Went last night after traveling 6 hours with my family. Haven’t eaten at a Krystal in over 10 years so I was excited and had been looking forward to this all week (the rest of my family has never had Krystal). Got into Athens and went into the lobby. The girl looks at us but never says a word. Okay cool we will just look at the menu since we don’t know what we want anyways. 10 minutes pass by and nobody has acknowledged us still. At this point at least 3 people have seen us. They are serving up orders in the drive thru but don’t give a crap about front counter. Another gentleman comes in and after about 5 minutes he gives up and leaves. We decided to do the same and ended up down the road at Bojangles where they greeted us as soon as we walked in the door. Highly disappointed that this isn’t what it used to be. 0/10 do not recommend.

Ordered food at Drive Thru and was told they didn’t fix sandwiches without steamed bread for the Krystal cheeseburger. Asked for the manager and she said they did, and to pull around. Got to the window it’s 9:05 drive thru stated they’re not taking anymore orders. I then replied The manager told me to pull around. Checked for the bread is it was steamed it wasn’t, but the all the meat was cold on all 12 Krystal Sandwiches. I literally had to cook them at home. Smh

I am extremely saddened by the state of most Krystal’s we’ve been to lately. This one in particular smelled so bad when we walked in that I almost walked out. The place was dirty and unkept. The employees had dirty clothes on and most looked unshowered. They were friendly enough, but the overall take away was horrible. I don’t understand what’s happening with this chain. The food is SOOOO GOOD. Corporate… PLEASE figure it out.

Asked for a refund, said they couldn’t do it without a manager present. My friends never got their food, and when we got ours it was cold like it wasn’t even cooked.

10 a.m. 9/16/25. Best crew I’ve seen at a fast food spot in yrs. Very friendly and professional. That’s worth a lot nowadays. Every time im in the area im a stop in and grab a snack. #TruckDriver
