I am just so confused. What championship Bbq are we talking ? The ribs have never seen a barbecue. They are literally oven baked till they are mush.

No seasoning or sauce on them and no smoke.

I, sadly, ordered a full rack. I also got a pulled pork sandwich which had no sauce or actually anything on it at all. Lastly, I ordered brisket nachos, which were the best of the 3, but I believe that’s because the chips were thick home style chips and they were drowned in sauce, some interesting cheese and pickled jalapenos.

I am convinced that all the meat was cooked in an oven . I drove 20 minutes with the 3 meals in my car and there was not a hint of barbecue smell .

Just a weird experience overall.

The staff was very nice and helpful and they did at least give me a full rack of ribs, even if they were an oven baked, mushy disaster.

No complaints about the service, just the food.

Maybe they ran out of wood for the smoker ? I’m not sure what happened…

The pictures actually make the ribs look a slight bit better than the sad “bbq” ribs I received.

If you’re on the hunt for a BBQ paradise, look no further than Wiley’s! We dove headfirst into the Smoky Sampler Platter, which is like a meaty hug on a plate. The fried okra was so crispy it could probably audition for a crunchy role in a movie. And don’t even get me started on the French fries—golden, fluffy, and just begging to be dipped in ketchup!

For an extra touch of sweetness, we added a side of sweet potato casserole that was so good it might just convince you to swap out your dessert for a veggie! Everything we tasted was simply delightful, and the flavors danced on our tongues like they were at a BBQ ballroom bash.

This was our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last! With cold beer on tap that brought refreshing joy and delightful sweet tea that offered a taste of summer, we were practically hugging our drinks. The staff? They were the cherry on top—genuinely kind, friendly, and ready to chat with anyone who walked through the door.

We left with full bellies and a handful of new friends, and let’s be honest, we just found our new happy place! If you’re not at Wiley’s BBQ, are you really living?

Went to Savannah on vacation for a couple of days and wanted to try some real southern BBQ. Wileys delivered and then some! Our waitress, Dawn greeted us and helped my friend and I select the most delectable items from the menu. I got the brisket, she got the pulled pork. We also tried many of the side dishes and finished with peach cobbler for desert. The food was so good, we came back again the next night! We ordered the redneck nachos as an appetizer. I got some chicken and she got a slider. We finished up with banana pudding for desert. Between the two of us, we tried a good majority of the menu. I wish I lived closer to eat there more often! Definitely coming back again next time I’m in the area and cannot reccomend the place enough! Prices are affordable and the atmosphere is laid back and cozy. Lots of locals eat there regularly. Everyone was down to earth and cordial.

We were told by a food guide that this was the place for BBQ. I would say perhaps she hasn’t been there for a while. The hush puppies were fabulous. The best I have ever had. But the pulled pork was a real letdown. Unless you want greasy chips soaked in greasy pulled pork and melted cheese don’t fall for redneck nachos. It really fell flat. Service was fine, but with so many other choices, we won’t be back.

Good bbq. The brisket was delicious, as was the potato salad and the broccoli rice. If ever in town again, I’d come back to try more on the menu.

We had a wonderful experience at Wileys. My husband loves barbecue and do they know how its done. The brisket is to die for. And their better than sex sauce may just be a true statement. We got a bottle to take home. It was pricey for the sauce at 11.95 per bottle but so worth it.

Mid. Very mid. Came in with high hopes and left disappointed. Tried the three meat platter with two sides and it was all mediocre. I would love to have something better to say because the young woman who helped me was incredibly friendly and helpful. But the food was a massive letdown. The brisket had no
Smoke flavor. The chicken was dry. The ribs were nothing memorable. The broccoli cheese rice was so overcooked it was mealy. The collard greens were… forgettable. This whole meal was really disappointing. I’m sorry y’all, but you win no championships in my book. I genuinely wish I could rate y’all better but this just wasn’t it. Also, as a note on atmosphere:: warm lights in the Edison bulbs. Please. I can’t believe I have to say this. Bright cool bulbs are TERRIBLE ON THE EYES. If the bulbs are exposed, they should be dim, warm light. Ugh.

Best BBQ on the islands. We go every visit to Savannah.
Get pulled pork or smoked wings. Ribs are good too. Only meat i am not a fan of is brisket and that may be me more than their brisket.
Brunswick stew for a starter is nice.
Kid had the burger and it was really good too. So its more than BBQ. But GET the BBQ as its still the best.

Friendly & helpful staff, top notch service. A touch on the pricey side, but hit that craving for good southern BBQ. Definitely try the sweet potato casserole.

Loved my experience at Wiley’s! Lauren was our server and she was 150% what made the meal amazing. She gave us great advice about what to order, walked us through the different sauces (thus keeping my wife from ingesting anything too spicy), and because it was a bit later in the evening and there weren’t too many other customers, she was able to take the time to chat with us about things to do in the area. Her own experiences and anecdotes will stay with us a long time. Chatting with her felt like meeting a friend you haven’t seen in years, but the moment you’re in the same place again, you pick back up right where you left off. She was incredible.

The food? Also incredible. Let me just slide in here and recommend the Brunswick stew, y’all. Perfect ratio of meat to veggies, nice and thick, that hint of sweet heat… my mouth is watering thinking about it.

Brisket slider was 10/10, especially with the smoky sauce at the table. The pulled pork my wife got rapidly disappeared (she says the smoky sauce also made it sing, though it was very good as-is). She was pleased with her sides while stating that neither the mac-n-cheese or the slaw were super standout-y. They were good! Just not slap-ya-mama good.

Something that was 10000/10? The hushpuppy platter. It does NOT mess around. It gives you a sweet-savory roundhouse, crunchy outside, soft inside. My wife doesn’t much care for hushpuppies and she ate most of them. I put in a concerted effort myself, and there were still plenty left over. (Of course we took them home.)

Loved the vibe of the place. Nice, chill, clean tables, old-timey signs on the walls. Super happy we visited. During future visits, we’ll be back!
