We enjoyed a late breakfast here on the weekend. The parking lot was packed when we arrived, but we were able to be seated quickly. Our coffee was always full and hot, and we had a nice view in a booth by the windows looking out at the river. We both ordered omlettes, I had the veggie add bacon, and my husband had the lumberjack. Portions were large, and the food was very flavorful. The wait for the food to come out was a bit longer than expected, but we didn’t mind. Will definitely be back to try other menu items!

Food is homemade from the sausage links to the bread. Homemade jam for your toast, fresh cut red potatoes for a side, very good food. I will be back because I am allergic to alot of preservatives so fresh made is fantastic.

First time going here. Was pleasantly surprised. My breakfast was great. Pancakes, hash browns and scrambled eggs were done perfectly. As I was leaving, I saw the list of all the homemade pies they have. Didn’t get any this time, but I will definitely be going back. And I will make sure I grab a piece of pie.

Think family friendly, home style meals with generous portions. That’s what riverside is and has always been. One of our rug rats had half of his food on the floor and spilled coffee, whilst the other one was doing laps around the tables, with no issues. The wait staff was patient and attentive. Couldn’t think of a more tolerant and welcome place. Highly recommended! Oh, and a great farmers omelette!!
We also picked up our ordered pies, an annual tradition that never disappoints. A staple of our family and a favorite of my son, who came in from California and couldn’t think to miss it during Christmas!!

Been here many times but have never given a review. The food is always tasty. Service is top notch with many friendly smiles! The view of the river is beautiful. (Watching the squirrels on the corn cob wheels is always fun!)

I haven’t been here in years, so I brought my husband for date night. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious and the portion sizes are decent to generous. Of course, we had to get pie too. This was honestly the best banana cream pie I think I’ve ever had. We’ll be back!

Great breakfast and don’t go during peak hours unless you don’t mind waiting.
Highlight is fresh sourdough bread with homemade raspberry or strawberry jam for
us to purchase.

Wow. We were drawn in by the list of pies we saw on MLive’s article on the restaurant, but we were blown away by the service, selections, and food. Our waitress was amazing, did a great job in explaining things but also giving us space to enjoy our food. Amazing! We were there during lunch but went with breakfast food. The Hash and All That was delish, the corned beef hash really shined. I loved my western omelet- it was really balanced and flavorful. The toast was homemade with homemade jam- of which we bought a jar on the way out. Don’t miss the polish sausage, it was excellent. My favorite bite was from the biscuits and gravy- better than my own!!!! We got raspberry pie and coconut cream pie to go because we were too full to eat there.
Go here, support a local business, and enjoy your meal.

Food is good, prices are good, service is questionable and this isn’t the first time. We thought we would give it another try but the same result. Today one server got us our drinks along with menus right away, after a few minutes another server took our order and that server never came back again. Food took a while to come out -/+15 min. We asked for refills on our drinks and never received them. After being finished and waiting +/-10min for the bill we had to go up and ask for that and a togo box.
