A mid-tier BBQ experience. We got the devil egg appetizer which comes with 3 eggs. An even 4 eggs would be better to spilt for a typical couple/ group. Each component of the deviled eggs is good but too many competing flavors together. The bowl with mashed potatoes and brisket was fine. The meat is sitting on a pound of potatoes which is too much. A pulled pork sandwich was good but a bit dry. It would be an improvement for them to offer BBQ sauces at the table. Our meals were a bit light on sauce with no option to change flavors or just add more as you eat. City BBQ is better but lacks the seating found at this location. Initially we were sat at a 2 seat high top table. The table wobbled enough it almost dumped the contents on top to the floor due to the uneven flooring. Our waitress allowed us to move and didn’t seem surprised by the trick table so it appears to be a known issue that should have been fixed.

We visited on a Friday night and has a really amazing meal. The food was great and the service was top notch. Staff told us it was less busy than usual since the city was having a playoff football game and it was Halloween weekend.
The cornbread was delicious. I had the pick two with the brisket and pulled pork. Both were very flavorful. Also don’t pass on the white cheddar grits. They were fantastic. We are definitely planning a return visit.

First impressions are everything and we were not disappointed. We arrived at 2p and were seated immediately. Our server was very kind, and the starter did not take long to arrive. It was a pretty relaxed atmosphere as well. Our entree arrived shortly after and my goodness… I never had brisket that was so good. Was blown away.
I will be visiting again very soon and you should as well!

Wow what a great bar! Very large and open and airy. The bar is huge with big TV’s to watch your Ohio State Buckeyes win. Britt the bartender was super friendly. The ribs were the best, but the brisket and pork were also scrumptious. Great place, highly recommend!

Solid meal. Ribs were tender, mashed potatoes flavorful and the Mac and cheese had a nice spice to it. Very peppery. If you come in the fall make sure to grab a pumpkin beer as it pairs very well with the smoked meats!

I order Uber Eats as I’m
In town on business. I spent 36 dollars on a super tough brisket and mash potato and a small broke piece of cornbread. This meat is way too tough to eat! Money wasted! At least the potatoes and cornbread were good! Guess that dinner but not worth 36 dollars!

Stopped by Oak & Ember Tavern in Hudson and had a great experience overall. We tried Burton’s Brisket, and it did not disappoint—smoked to perfection, tender, and packed with flavor. The green beans on the side were fresh and had good seasoning, though they were just a bit underdone for our taste.
Their draft beer selection was solid, with a good variety to choose from. The drinks overall were well-crafted and added to the relaxed, upscale tavern vibe. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you’re into good barbecue and a quality drink menu.
Quick and pleasant service!

Drinks and appetizers were excellent. Decent atmosphere (decorated for Christmas) but a little bit hard to hear conversation. My wife and I both order brisket, which was tender and had a pleasant chew, but lacked flavor – hopefully that was not normal. Looking forward to trying their other dishes.

Went on a Sunday night at 7pm with reservations. Order our food only to have the waitress have to tell us they don’t have Brisket or Burnt ends! Order pulled pork instead and menu says as a side 3 pieces of corn bread on the menu and brought out two and was told that what you get when you order a sandwich? Drove 40 minutes to get there, won’t be back! P.S. aluminum plates suck if you don’t eat fast your food gets super cold quick! The server was really nice and not holding anything against her though.
