Chow is a true gem ✨ The food was delicious and hearty; potatoes with a perfect crisp and homemade bread so fluffy and tasty. Lauras warm welcome made our first experience fantastic! I loved the character of the old 1930’s house. Will certainly be back to try the rest of the menu!

Birthday brunch. We had a bit of a wait, but the owner came out & sat down & chatted with us. We loved the warmness of the staff. The food was delicious & our server posted the photo she took of us on their social media site! They had a cute intimate bar & outside seating with a fire pit. Definitely a “go to” while visiting like we were.

A cute, small diner with a robust outdoor seating area for the warmer days.

We had a party of 4 and were seated in about 25 minutes around 11:30am on a Sunday morning. The place is small, and a little cramped depending on your taste. Our party was mostly people over 6ft tall, but we all fit in our seats and minimal schooching was required to let the servers by.

The food came out in a decent time frame. The food was all okay-good. The saving grace of Chow is they don’t charge an arm and a leg. I got the chicken fried steak, and it was breaded beautifully. It has a lot of extra stuff you don’t typically see, and I’ll be honest, it stands on its own. The pancakes were good, the homemade bread was great, the berry compote was wonderful. Our omlet was just okay.

There seems to be a little inconsistency in the quality of the dishes we got, namely the omlet special, all things ordered off the menu were good.

I enjoy it well enough, I’ll probably try it again sometime. Overall a good experience. Our server was kind and reasonably attentive.

Very eclectic vibe
If they say it’s a 30 minute wait, just be prepared for 45 minutes, but the wait is always worth it

Food options are amazing and fresh and the staff are absolutely delightful

Service was great! Laura was very friendly, attentive, and kept us laughing. The food was good overall—mine came out a little cold and could have used some salt—but the ingredients were fresh, the eggs were poached perfectly, and the flavors were bold. The house-made hot sauces were spicy and delicious, with three options to choose from. A solid experience overall.

Highly recommended by friends, we came around 9-10am on a Saturday. We got seated right away, though it started to pick up and the next day when we stopped by, there was a long waiting line.

Simple and wonderful decor in a good area with its own parking lot and plenty of street parking. When we got in, there appeared to be three hostess, and two servers. One of the hostess was sick so she had to leave early. Apparently they were also training someone new who had our table.

So I preface this by saying this could have been a one off, and just my personal experience. We got seated then the hostesses were on the side talking with themselves. The two servers were running around. 8-10 minutes after being seated, one of the hostess came to apologize and pour us water. Another 5-8 minutes passed then the supposed new server came to take our order. The food came first after 10 minutes and our drinks a few minutes after that (the bar is in a separate area, so they have to exit the main building to go to the side bar building to make the drinks, then bring it back into the main building). After we finished, it took a while to get the attention for our check, and then a box, then to pay. We weren’t sure if it was just us, but saw 2 other tables in our area also wait a while and one even voicing their displeasure. Then overhearing that someone was training and first day on the floor. Personally when I hear that, I give more benefit of the doubt, but the service did leave me feeling some type of way where I’d have to pause if someone brought up Chow. But with the circumstances, I took one star. The friendliness of the staff though was great.

Now food, delicious. 14 hour braised corn beef hash, bacon cheddar grits, a crab cake, chicken sando, Bloody Mary with bacon. Food was good, no complaints on the actual taste. Even ate the leftovers 2-3 days after and still solid. The price is up there to $15-$20 a dish. With $12-$15 cocktails. So it’s a typical price “fancier” brunch spot. Just know you’ll be paying for that.

Overall, great place. I see why there’s a line and hype. If you’re a brunch person, def recommend, if you aren’t a fan of lines and higher prices for food. Then that’s for you to decide!

My daughter and I have eaten at Chow several times over the years. The food is delicious, the service friendly, and we always enjoy the experience. We went in today and Mike gave us a nice table by the cozy fire. He was so friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Thanks for your wonderful service Mike. The food was delicious as always, and we look forward to eating there again soon.

Shout out to Lleyton, our server! Really attentive and polite. Corn beef hash was wonderful. Poached eggs were perfectly runny. Liked having that sweet aspect from the sweet potatoes and balsamic glaze with the savory corn beef. The shrimp and grits were creamy and very delicious. The tomatoes and micro greens gave it a nice fresh kick. One of the eggs on it was poached hard, but still very delicious.
