This place has never disappointed in the 22 years I’ve been dining here (since 2002). I’ve eaten off the menu a couple of times but usually hit the lunch buffet. They always have a nice selection of sides and main entrees to choose from on the buffet. The service is always friendly and quick to accommodate. The free fresh naan they bring out hits the spot and helps soak up the delicious curries on my plate. I enjoy the desert options they have but always gravitate to the rice pudding and the Gaja Ka Halwa (carrot pudding), which is absolutely amazing and hits the spot after such a wonderful meal. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are in town and searching for a Indian restaurant to dine at… search no more!

Had the buffet dinner and it was really good – lots of fresh flavors and hot entrees. All items we tried were yummy. The only mis-step was the chicken entree was over cooked so a little firmer and chewier than just right. Otherwise, service was good and food selection was spot on.

I’ve been going here for years and absolutely love this place. The food is so tasty and authentic and you get a full view of the Flatirons from the windows! The staff is always super friendly and kind and its always just an absolute pleasure dining here! 10/10 recommend

The food was awesome as usual and I made two trips to the buffet to enjoy it. Salad, fried appetizers with tamarind sauce and chutney, peefwctly cooked rice and wonderful saag, chicken curries and veggie kormas to sample. Everyone in our group of five was happy with it. I’ve been coming here for years and always left happy.

Lunch at The Taj was the perfect way to top off after tackling the west trailhead of Green Mountain. Two of us worked up a righteous hunger and the buffet at The Taj satisfied our hunger and need for good Indian cuisine.
The lunch buffet had a large offering of delicious food – too many to detail as a matter of fact. I tried a little of many that were known to me and some I had never tried before. Everything was fantastic.
Even though it was a buffet we had fast and courteous service for anything we wanted. A trip for seconds triggered an immediate clearing of the first plate so we returned to essentially a fresh table.
Last, but certainly not least, there is a beautiful view of the flat irons out the west facing windows. I will definitely be returning to check out the dinner menu.

Friendly staff. There are random items on the buffet like banana fritters and honey chicken (think Chinese buffet style), yet missing staples like aloo gobi and tandoori chicken. Gajar ka halwa was tasty. Food needs a little more spice but I imagine this is a reflection of Boulder taste versus the cook’s preference. Salty lassi was made with what tasted like raspberry yogurt, lol. Would return if in Boulder again.

For Indian food lovers, I think this is a very popular place in South Boulder. Ample selection for lunch buffet and very good taste.
The seasonings are very tasty but never on extremes. Not too salty nor sweet but you still can enjoy great flavor at reasonable prices as well.

I got the tikka masala and garlic cheese naan in an online order yesterday and it’s the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Seriously – the tikka masala is incredibly flavorful, the naan is delicious and priced well, and the man who helped me pick up my order was friendly. 10/10 all the way around!

I went here to take my parents around Boulder, and the food was great. The staff were very considerate of my mom’s allergies and were extremely nice. The Chicken tikka masala in the buffet was my favorite. It was raining, but the view of the mountains was still phenomenal.

Beautiful buffet! Love that they had all my favorite Indian dishes and everything tasted fresh. I usually don’t like rice pudding (kheer) as prepped at most Indian restaurants but I really enjoyed it here! Everything is super well labeled for common allergies and I appreciate the emphasis on washing your hands and preventing food waste at the buffet. My new favorite stop for when I’m transferring between buses at Broadway and Baseline.
