Decided to give this place a try considering I pass by it all the time. First off, the employees are very friendly. They have great energy and are professionally friendly. They menu has a pretty good selection of items to chose from but just keep in mind the portions are a bit on the smaller side so if your hungry, chose a plate option. I think even though the servings are smaller, the price is appropriate. I got the 2 chicken taco plate that comes with beans and rice on the side. I got a small soda and with tip it was about $15 total. They have beers if you chose to partake but I didn’t want to drink, I was tired haha. The dining area is small but very clean. They have a few tables and Booths and a few tvs. A basketball game was playing and an Animal documentary show. The food was served well, came out in about 10 minutes and was delicious! I thought it was seasoned and cooked very well. Almost ate every bite which is not a norm for me but I got full. I will be back, it’s close, it’s delicious, and the price didn’t break my wallet ☺️

My boyfriend and I ate dinner here last night, and we will be back for more. The tacos were amazing! I had the calabacitas, which were tasty and especially good with the green salsa. We got the plate with our tacos, but did not receive the rice and beans initially, which were promptly brought out after we let the staff know, who were nice and friendly. I also ordered chili cheese fries, but the cheese was not melted. Overall, we had a pleasant first-time experience.

I tried Casa Taco for the first time and it was fantastic! I ordered the Calabacitas Tacos and the Puffy Adobo Chicken Tacos, and both were delicious. The Calabacitas Tacos were packed with perfectly grilled veggies, fresh lettuce, and juicy diced tomatoes — super flavorful and satisfying without feeling heavy. The Puffy Adobo Chicken Tacos were a real standout — the shell was crispy on the outside but soft inside, and the chicken was seasoned so well. Everything tasted super fresh and homemade. The staff was friendly and my order came out quickly. Definitely a new go-to spot for tacos in Albuquerque! Highly recommend if you’re craving something fresh and flavorful.

Every time my friend comes into town. This is our lunch go to spot. It’s been a while since we’ve been here. But they’ve expanded their dinning area which is nice and doesn’t feel cramped.
On this visit I ordered the “puffy” verde beef combo and a Gulf Shrimp Taco ala cart. Anything off the menu is pretty good. But I would recommend at least try any one of the puffy tacos.

I got the “puffy” tacos recommended by the employees. Absolutely delicious. The shells were very crispy yet soft on the inside. It tasted very fresh. The rice and beans were also tasty. If you’re thinking about getting the guac do!! I will be back!

Used to be one of the best places to go, but went here tonight and they are trying to go more casual dining, and they aren’t doing it well at all. It’s a weird mix of a taco shop with a fast food drive thru, casual dining atmosphere, boujee prices, all in a run down neighborhood.

Extremely slow service, small portion sizes, and the food is just ok now. I wont be back. Too many other taco shops doing what Casa Taco used to do… but WAY better at a MUCH better price point.

What happened Casa Taco????? We’ve been customers of Casa Taco since they opened in Elephant Butte. The 25 cent taco nights are long gone, so paying $40 for 8 tacos is already hard to grasp. When purchasing tacos of the highest quality, you become ok with that though, and these tacos have always met that standard, until the last few months that is. This has ALWAYS been our go to taco spot, and I’ve noticed a obvious and steady decline in quality. We keep hoping it will turn around, but unfortunately it has not. I couldn’t finish the 4 shrimp tacos I had tonight because my jaw was so sore after chewing through the toughest tortillas I think I’ve ever eaten. My last taco had absolutely zero garnish, no attempt whatsoever, it didn’t fall out, it was never put in there. They advertise hand crafted tacos but they have strayed far from this. This is the last time I will eat here. We’ll be taking our $40 taco night money to a local taco truck where it will be appreciated. Such a disappointment to loose a staple in your town, Casa Taco was definitely one of them.
