Went with some friends and family and we love it here. Our waiter Victor was superb. The food was excellent as always and so deliciously cooked. Their rolls are to die for. The Brisket is so soft and not too fatty. I got 7 ounce size and I still have leftovers as it was more than I could eat. I also enjoyed the peanut salad. Not peanut sauce but had real peanuts throughout and a light dressing and crispy crunchy like cole slaw. Perfect side with my Brisket and bread. I will show other’s food in my photos. In any event it is a fine restaurant with lots of choices of food and drinks. There is a full bar and cool decor like cowboy ranchers with many types of ways to eat beef and BBQ stuff. Nice booths and tables in two rooms. I recommend making a reservation. They also have take out and do large parties.

The food was stellar. I live in Texas, so BBQ is a thing and I will say Cali BBQ is really good. Rather than. A dry rub we get a good wet saucy rub. Everything was great and super flavorful.. would definitely go back.

Stopped in at this location Simi valley and was truly impressed the servers were all friendly fast and courteous ordered the tri tip and it was grilled to perfection the decor definitely was decoring in the old western style look. It looked expensive both inside and out without the tackiness that some vintage joints have. Even down to the hot chocolate cake I can’t do the pecans they modified it no questions asked would highly recommend to all my folks out there!!!

Wood ranch seems like a restaurant in decline. Each time I go there the portions are smaller and the prices are higher but the food doesn’t get any better. Pulled pork is the easiest thing to barbecue and theirs is dry and overcooked. The chopped salad was almost an appetizer portion but still cost over $20.

Since I have 6 orders to go I asked for 6 extra breads
Spoke with manager and she said she would not give us the extra breads to me feels like not good customer service I don’t tank the place will go out of business I believe the manager dint care
She said no no apology no explanation
Doesn’t feel right when you spend over $250 on food

The price of the alcoholic drinks is pretty much the only negative thing I can say about this place. They’re really high priced compared to comparable drinks at other places. A really small margarita was almost 14 dollars, and was just an average margarita; the rest of the drinks are similar price or more expensive for small amounts, comparable to other restaurants. The sweet potatoes were some of the best I’ve ever had. The chicken enchilada tortilla soup is great, not as good as homemade, but still good and a generous portion. The free garlic bread rolls, served with barbecue sauce, are great. The bbq tri-tip sliders were good, though not as good as everything else. All in all, we will likely eat there again when we’re in the area.

I ordered the smoked brisket for dinner. It was just OK, I was not overly thrilled with the texture nor the quality of the meat. The flavor was good, but nothing that would make me order it again. The broccoli and the baked potato were the best part of this meal.
