Stopped by here on a drive from NJ to Rochester, NY. First time. Went for an early dinner, and we immediately felt the warmth of the place. The staff knows more than half the customers on a first name basis. Servers were very friendly and very accommodating.
The prices here seem like they’re from the 90s. The food is very good, especially considering the prices.

When I say these were the best home fries I’ve ever had in a diner, I am not lying! They were perfect. Fresh bun for the breakfast Sandwich, lightly toasted on the griddle, and got an extra sausage patty (I’m only used to 1 per sandwich!) felt like a local, because all the folks sitting down knew one another by name. Great spot, will visit again soon! Highly recommend

Love this diner. We went with family for dinner and I had the Yankee pot roast. It was so delicious and the mashed potatoes and gravy were awesome. The hot turkey sandwiches were piled high with turkey and gravy. The buffalo chicken salad looked so substantial and was delicious too. I also went back for breakfast during my weeklong visit and really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs, cheese, and 2 sausage patties. Yummy! Thanks Tina, you can tell you are an owner that cares! You get a great meal for a great price. Highly recommend!

A Cozy Classic at Jane’s Diner – Binghamton, NY
If you’re in Binghamton, NY, and craving a comforting, homestyle meal, Jane’s Diner is the spot to check out! This family-owned establishment serves up classic diner fare with a welcoming touch that makes you feel right at home.
On my visit, I went for a true old-school favorite—liver and onions—along with their meatloaf dinner. Both meals came with a side salad and a warm bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. And let me tell you—the soup was spot on! Creamy, flavorful, and not overly salty, it had just the right balance of cheesy goodness and fresh broccoli.
The liver and onions were cooked well, with a rich, savory flavor that paired perfectly with the caramelized onions. If you’re a fan of this dish, Jane’s Diner does it right—tender, hearty, and packed with nostalgia. The meatloaf was just as satisfying, a true homemade classic with a comforting texture and a flavorful, well-seasoned gravy.
What makes Jane’s stand out is its warm, no-frills atmosphere, friendly service, and incredibly affordable prices. You get a generous portion of homemade comfort food without breaking the bank, making it a great stop for anyone looking for quality and value.
If you’re in the area and want classic, well-executed diner food at a great price, Jane’s is absolutely worth a visit!

I wanted to like this place. We choose which local hangouts to spend our money not by how amazing the food is (most of which is basic fare) but by the service. Seemingly a nice family diner.
We went a few times and each time, the sloppy hand written bills seemed off. Specifically from the female server with an accent. The first time, I chalked it up to the server being a bit older. The second time, I took it out of the generous tip I usually leave. The third time, this woman left a check with a total almost $12 higher than what it was supposed to be.
When I told the guy at the counter, he looked it over, then just rang up the correct total while she watched over his shoulder. No explanation, no fuss, no apology, no surprise. They both knew what she was doing. I wonder how many regulars she rips off every day. Most people don’t notice or simply don’t do the math. You look at a family with small children and think, “I’m going to rip them off.”
If she wasn’t so greedy, I would have tipped her more than that in the long run. We travelled out of our way to come here in the first place to give them our business, but not anymore.

I have been going to Jane’s Diner since I met my bf in 2017, it has been the only constant in my life from BU to homeowning. I love the new owner, she is sweet, caring, and genuine. The food, as usual, is amazing, I can’t find deep fried home fries that melt in your mouth rather than turn to dust, anywhere else. First time ordering tea, they give you extra hot water – That’s such a cute touch! Of course, just like any good dining establishment, they are always in large supply of Franks, (not Tabasco – sorry Westchester but Binghamton has that one-upped on you, not to mention the entirety of the diner). I love that it feels like a familiar, comfortable home, no matter the time that’s passed or the changes in life; they always make you feel safe, warm, and welcome. (WITH AMAZING EGGS with always fresh vegetables AND HUGE BELGIUM WAFFLES )

Stopped for breakfast on our way to Niagra Falls; it’s a family friendly place. The hostess was nice and food was good. The prices were great. The decor of the place is old and dated. It needs fresh paint and new tiles. Overall the place was busy and family friendly. The food was good too.

Basic Diner. Had breakfast. We didn’t like the fact that the bacon was the pre-made bacon with extremely thin pieces. Potatoes were a bit undercooked and served cold. omelets were just OK and nothing special. first cup of coffee was cold.
