The best Cuban food in Tampa. It’s a clean and wonderful restaurant with tasty dishes and great service. After enjoying bistec Palomilla after the Bucs’ game on Sunday, we came back for a delicious desayuno Friday morning.

Service is great. The waitress was very attentive. Prices were affordable but the food is just okay.
Skip the Cuban sandwich, it’s the least good among all the Cuban sandwiches I tried in Florida.
The empanada is also not good.
The steak with fries is okay, not really something I would crave.
For the prices, it’s worth the visit. Especially if you just want a fast and casual dining experience.

I honestly love this place but get a whole different treatment xomiyin with a known group of west Tampa types as opposed to the “gringo” treatment by myself. Food is fine but my colada was really short and somehow barely warm? I know what it should look like here. Probably my fault for not speaking Spanish very well.

In West Tampa on the corner of Habana and MacDill is a quaint Café, Arco Iris, when you walk in, it magically triples in size from what you expected.
Serving up cuban coffee to your liking with milk or without, paired with cuban toast at almost every table. I am all about the bread!
There is nothing like it. No matter where you go, stores claim to have cuban bread, everyone’s attempt falls short of Tampa’s cuban bread. You have to travel to Tampa to taste the difference, the REAL cuban bread. Visit one of the bakeries while in Tampa.
The expansive menu and daily specials will surely satisfy what you are looking for.
We ordered the special, Boliche, it’s a cuban stuffed pot roast with plantains and yuca. A Cuban sandwich with everything and a devil crab. Half a cuban and caldo gallego collard green soup, and a roast pork sandwich with fries. All were delicious. The parking is a little tight, but it rotates pretty swiftly, as are the tables.
Clean, fast service and good food.
Visit the small shops, stores, and restaurants, affectionately called “hole in the walls”, they are labors of love. You can taste it in the food.

Delicious food, had the tamales with pork and it was a DREAM! Nice and melting inside your mouth. The guava juice was delicious and refreshing, and the cuban bread was crunchy outside and buttery inside. Loved it.

This is a great place to go for authentic Cuban food. They have all the traditional cuban entrees and sandwiches, with daily specials as well. The prices are very reasonable and the food is served in a timely fashion.

Cuban food … First time for dinner last night … We were thinking what to eat n suddenly decided to go there since we were just passing by this restaurant. This is very close to my home n I have seen this but it was the first time I have been there. We seated in a cubicle n it was bit uncomfortable coz we didn’t have enough leg space n also it was bit hard for me to understand when the server explained the menu since I’m not fluent in Spanish. I ordered “Russian Style Fish”. It came with two sides. Food was ok for the price … We received a quick service …

I wanted to try a locals cuisine that my rep associate knew where to go. He grew up in the neighborhood so we were on our way to a nicer place but traffic became an issue so he rerouted to this family run restaurant. I ordered a pulled pork dish with special rice. Truly disappointed as I sent it back as it was cold food. It returned barely warm meat and rice was still cold. Sweet plantains were excellent.. Service was great but English was definitely not her first language.

Decent Cuban Sandwhich, not the best but not the worst. Cheese wasn’t melted, and service was average….
I ran out of water and napkins, and once I placed an auto to order of four more Cuban sandwiches for co-workers, the waiter walked away.
I said, “Excuse Sir,”4 times, ” and I was ignored.. I
Either way, another waitress came and helped me.
I’m sure there are plenty of other places for a good sandwich or lunch….
I would not recommend or will go back.
