Excellent birria burrito. Fast service, clean, and cute place next door to evening-only Madrina restaurant. A nice lunch option. My to-go box was nicely packed, and smelled amazing. Nice collection of Mexican candy, ice cream, and crafts for sale. (The piñatas are SO CUTE and reasonably priced.)

Thank you so much for opening this beautiful, delicious, and affordable Mexican restaurant in Downtown! I always say you can tell how authentic a mexican restaurant is by their tortillas and their beans. If you get the staples down right and delicious and made in house, you’ve got my business for life!!! This spot is just a block away from work so you know I’m here at least 2-3 times a month to eat their delicious breakfast burritos. Atmosphere is beautiful, peaceful and accommodating. Staff are very sweet and attentive but also take no shit (as a former food service worker, I deeply respect whomever stood up for the restaurant once when a group of white Karen’s came in and thought they could have a full lunch meeting inside but brought their own food in like it was a cafeteria! Sooo rude.) so yes, I love it here and will continue to give them my pink dollars bc they have been consistently delicious, fresh, and kind!

A great casual spot for lunch, with a limited menu compared to La Patroncita or Madrina’s evening dining; however, all the same great flavors you know and love.

Carnitas, tinga, and birria are ready to serve while chorizo, nopales, and carne asada take a little bit longer as they’re made to order.

I love the tinga and birria tacos, and can’t get enough habanero salsa

Probably a 3.5. Got a carnitas burrito. Was a little small and rice heavy and left me searching for the meat. Salsas were good especially the smoky habanero one.

Lot of packaging with Togo order with burrito wrapped in foil (easy to eat) but then that was in a box and then is a plastic bag with plastic utensils.

I’m really picky about Mexican food, and this place is hands down the best spot for a burrito in downtown Portland. The carnitas and birria are my go-tos here and in Portland proper! Clean space, friendly staff, and I’m excited to come back for dinner next door!

I love this little place. The food is fresh flavorful. The staff is lovely, and the piñatas are a really cute touch. I work in the area and have been twice now. I’ll be back!

My new favorite on-the-go stop for lunch. If you love Salsas Locas, you’ll love this place. Why? It’s the same gente! The burrito bangs. I’m coming back.

This place kinda sucks unfortunately. All of their food needs more flavor. And their carne asada is so cheap dry and grey we were not pleased at all and even threw away a good amount of our order.

Talia was the best. LOVED the margaritas. Lunch was fantastic, but the real important thing was service. They were the absolute best. Food could be garbage (it wasn’t, so goooood), and I would go to see Talia. If they ever leave, I’ll just follow them to wherever they work. That is how committed I am to this amazing sassy person.
