Super expensive for sub par food and poor service. The owner was walking around the plaza and talked my husband and I into going here. He told us it was the best food at West Gate. We were greeted by a friendly lady who took us to our table and said she would be our waitress. We ordered a chicken pita and a falafel pita despite the price which was $23.95 & 24.95 each. The food came out quickly and was disappointed. The side Greek salad was drenched in dressing, the pita bread was soft and fluffy like white wonder bread and the falafels has so much hummus that they were soggy. The chicken was good though. Our waitress never came back to check on us or refill our drinks. Once we finished we waited 25 minutes to get our bill . Our waitress kept flying by us quickly without acknowledging us. She clearly didn’t know how to multitask. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Much better and cheaper food with better service can be found at almost any other restaurant in West Gate.

Oh man were they busy! Had seat at the bar. GM Heather acknowledged us and told us she would be right with us. Mark came and chatted with us. Beer and gyro awesome! Greek fries and beer awesome! Great staff! Funny and most of all REAL!! Please visit them.

Came here before a concert. We were seated on the patio and promptly ignored for about 20 minutes. We pointed this out and received an apology and got our drink order taken. A server came by and took our orders. After waiting for another 30-40 minutes and then the server came out to tell us our food was given to another table and they would remake it. We waited another 10 min or so and left as the show was about to start. We spent about 90 min at the restaurant and never received our food.

First visit experience: Upon arrival, I waited at the front to be seated and was briefly told “someone will be with you in a minute” in a rushed, unwelcoming manner, without a greeting or smile. Shortly after, your server who was the only one working approached us with a warm glowing smile, ,greeted us politely despite having food in her hands, immediately made us feel welcome. She was attentive, professional, and truly a highlight of our visit.
I later learned that the initial individual was the manager, which was disappointing, as I did not observe her assisting the server or engaging with guest. The only reason I am leaving a 4-star review and not a 3 is because of the excellent service provided by your server. While the service from your server was excellent and appreciated, I hope future visits reflect stronger leadership support, as the level of engagement is what elevates a restaurant experience to 5 stars.
Over all I recommend this place a Must Try.

While out and about on Saturday afternoon we decided to stop by west gate for some drinks and possible food. Our first stop was a dud and the music so loud our ears needed time to calm. We saw Opa Life and no wait so we decided to give it a try. We were greeted and seated right away. The noise level was great and a few TV’s at the bar were playing sports. The menu is small, but had some great options. We weren’t too hungry as we’d ate earlier in the day so we decided to share the chicken souvlaki skewer which comes with two sides. We chose the Greek salad and rice. We ordered some beer and water. Beer was cold and water refreshing. Our food came out quick and was plated phenomenally. From the first bite to the last it was all delicious. I’m so surprised at the lack of customers. It’s bright and clean inside, service was good and we had no issues. The other patrons inside seemed happy as well. This was our first time here and of course I’ve not tried other menu items, but I felt portions were huge and enjoyed it. The servers I will say looked bored, one sitting chatting with someone not sure if customers or owner, others just grouped near the front. Hopefully it’s not this slow everyday.

Our food was delicious! Our waitress was awesome, very sweet. Our first time trying this restaurant out and everything was great. We will be visiting Glendale in February again and will definitely be hitting up Opa Life Greek Cafe.

I don’t know much about Greek food, but this seems like a good starter Greek food place. The food is not intimidating, most of it is just greekish American food. The menu is short and simple so it’s easy to pick what you want. The location is easy to find, right in the middle of Westgate. The vibe is cool and the waiters/waitresses are cool and accommodating. It wasn’t too packed so we were seated quickly and ordered just as quickly. The food was super tasty (must try Greek fries), drinks were expensive, but it’s to be expected in Westgate. All-in-all, tasty place to eat, would definitely go to introduce friends to Greek food.

Great way to spend the night with family and friends. The food here is really good – it was my first time eating Greek food and now I’m a huge fan. The chicken souvlaki was perfectly grilled and the lemon Dijon sauce was delicious. They bring it to your table once you order and it comes out pretty quickly. I really enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere – the comfy seats and covered patio were a fun way to enjoy our time. Definitely recommend!!!
