Located just outside Grand Rapids, Amore Trattoria is truly a culinary oasis that redefines the Italian dining experience. On my most recent visit with friends, I was once again reminded of why this restaurant stands head and shoulders above the rest.
From the moment we stepped inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere enveloped us. The rustic decor, paired with attentive service, set the stage for an enjoyable evening. As we settled in, we couldn’t resist diving into the appetizers—and I must say, the Arancini are a must-have! These golden, crispy rice balls, stuffed with creamy risotto and melted mozzarella, are paired with a rich marinara sauce that elevates them to another level. Each bite is an explosion of flavor, and they perfectly balance crunch and creaminess.
Equally impressive was the Gamberetti, a delightful shrimp appetizer that showcases the freshness of the seafood. Cooked to perfection, the shrimp were tender and succulent, beautifully complemented by a subtle and delicious spicy pink sauce. It’s easy to see why these appetizers are a staple on the menu.
For our main courses, we indulged in the Lasagna, Lobster Ravioli, and Papparadelle. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. The Lasagna was rich and hearty, layered with perfectly seasoned meat, béchamel, and marinara sauce, delivering comfort food at its finest. The Lobster Ravioli, filled with fresh lobster meat and served in a delicate vodka cream sauce, was nothing short of heavenly. It’s a dish that makes you feel as if you’re dining on the Amalfi Coast. The Papparadelle, tossed in a robust sauce, showcased the expertly crafted pasta that Amore is known for; it was al dente and absorbed the sauce wonderfully.
Throughout the meal, we laughed, shared stories, and savored every delicious bite. The experience was not just about the food; it was about friendship and great conversations in an atmosphere that encourages relaxation and enjoyment.
Having visited Amore Trattoria multiple times, I can confidently say that this will not be my last visit. Each trip reveals new dishes to try and a consistent quality that keeps me coming back for more. If you’re searching for fantastic Italian cuisine that truly stands out, make your way to Amore Trattoria. You won’t be disappointed!

I went to Amore twice this month. The first was for a dinner with friends and the second was dinner with my wife and daughter. Both experiences were delightful. The food was amazing, and the service was top notch. They have a vegan menu in addition to the standard menu. They are also excellent at handling allergens and other dietary restrictions. It’s a wonderful place.

AMAZING! All the food was so flavorful. The was so nice and helpful explaining the menu and making great recommendations on some dishes. She checked in us plenty to make sure we had everything we needed and kept the table clear of clutter and empty dishes. She even boxed our leftovers, which is rare these days. The complimentary dessert and chocolate shot was a great end to our meal.

This was our first time here, was a much needed date night. We had Mark as our server and he was phenomenal. Very personable and a lot of fun. The food was delicious as well as the wine, first time ever trying rabbit and was not disappointed. Everything was displayed beautifully and we had a great time! We will definitely be returning.

Website menu is not up to date. Prices higher at restaurant. I posted the latest menu. When I saw pics of Anthony Bourdain and other famous chefs with the owner at the lobby wall my expectations went up several notches. Turns out those pics were taken somewhere else. Server should state price of specials so there won’t be any surprises. Pescatora was ok. Couldn’t taste squid ink in black noodles. Mussels tasted kinda old. Clams were ok. Lamb patties didn’t taste that good. Lasagna was good. Food was generally good but for the prices it could be better. I cook various dishes including Mediterranean so I’m picky. I keep squid ink in my fridge and made black risotto and pasta a few times so I know what I’m looking for. Same with lamb dishes.

Read lots of reviews about how good this place was. So the wife and I gave it a whirl. Appetizer was very tasty, wife liked her meal and I had a Ceasars salad and shrimp risotto. My Ceasar was ok. I’ve been searching for a good one like a little old Italian lady use to make in Grandville mi. And my meal was average. Our waiter was very good and I enjoyed the great service. But I got the bill and it was a shocker. We have a Great Italian restaurant in our little town of Cedar Springs that we can eat 4 times at for the price we paid. No alcohol was included in our bill expect for the complementary shots of vodka chocolate milk. I’m not encouraging anyone to not try this place, just that I won’t be returning. I have 4 other places I feel are better and less expensive.

We dined at Amore last night with friends and it was amazing. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, cheerful and attentive. Our server answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable in regards to the menu items. Our water glasses were always full and the cocktails/wine were delish. Dinner came out hot and everyone at the table enjoyed their meal. Presentation and quality were top notch! Jenna was making her rounds by personally stopping by every table to ask how everything was and to thank folks for coming. We were seated near the live entertainment and it was perfect background music. We were able to enjoy the lovely music and still have our conversations. We love Amore for their delicious food, cozy ambiance, and welcoming atmosphere. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and live music on the weekends. I have tried a variety of plates and each one was delicious. My favorite is the lobster cheese ravioli and their cheesecake. Time from time Chef Jenna makes her rounds at the tables greeting and celebrating along with her customers. It’s also lovely to see a small business owner engage and support her community with so much love and dedication. Definitely worth checking out for your next outing.
