I stopped by here to get a drink, only in the nearly empty restaurant, while I waited for my son to get a tarot reading down the street.

I selected the frozen 32-ounce diesel daiquiri. It was good, sweet, and loaded with alcohol. The price was competitive for what you get. I had a conversation with the manager/owner while I was there, who was very personable.

Bourbon Street was quiet because it was cold outside. Seating is limited to just bar seating against a back wall—no public restrooms. The female bartender didn’t have much to say. I would go for the daiquiri, then keep moving.

The chicken is actually tender it just could use a little bit more seasoning. However the real star of the show is the cashier who halfway through our ordering process forgot she even worked here got confused and didn’t know what to do. When she finally came back from wandering away and I reminded her what we ordered she had to look at our receipt because she thought she forgot to charge us

I am visiting New Orleans on a work trip and I went to this restaurant. I had an exceptional experience here thanks to a man named Kenneth. He was very hospitable and after telling him about the poor experiences I’ve had at other restaurants I tried in town, he made sure that wasn’t the case here. He was very nice, welcoming, and overall offered great customer service. I would recommend this place. Say Hi to Kenneth!

My mom and I embarked on an exciting trip to New Orleans, and one of our highlights was stopping on the vibrant Bourbon Street. The city is renowned for its incredible cuisine, but we were uncertain about where to find a truly satisfying meal. After some consideration, we decided to randomly select a restaurant, and I’m thrilled to say we weren’t disappointed.

We visited during the quieter days when the world had slowed down, which made for a uniquely intimate dining experience in an otherwise bustling city. The restaurant was nearly empty, lending a serene atmosphere, though the customer service was just average—neither particularly remarkable nor unpleasant.

Despite the service not being unforgettable, we genuinely enjoyed ourselves, and the food was delightful. Each dish had its own flair, showcasing the rich flavors New Orleans is known for. Plus, the restaurant’s convenient location near our hotel was an added bonus, making it easy to stroll back after our meal. Overall, it was a memorable stop on our adventure!

I have to give this place a solid 2.5 stars. We stopped in while exploring Bourbon Street, and I’ll admit, I was skeptical from the start. Cleanliness isn’t exactly the street’s claim to fame, but since we were on a food tour and this spot came highly recommended by a family friend, I decided to keep an open mind. The chicken itself was crisp, golden, and clearly well-prepared. I’m not much of a fried food person these days, but vacation calls for exceptions. I sampled just one or two bites of everything since we were tasting our way through the city, and while it was fine, it didn’t stand out as a must-return experience. The flavor was decent, but I’ve definitely had better chicken elsewhere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the visit pleasant. And as a Lil’ Wayne fan, I have to give credit where it’s due–the mural inside caught my attention right away and was a fun surprise. I also ordered a daiquiri, which I only made it halfway through. Overall, I didn’t dislike anything about this place, but I wouldn’t make a point to return. If you’re already on Bourbon Street and in the mood for something fried and easy, it’s worth a stop. I imagine it tastes even better after a few drinks, which might be part of the charm.

Interestingly, they have several venues on Bourbon Street.
Willie’s chicken is on Bourbon Street, the 600 block. Eclectic venue specializing in Daiquiri’s . I went for the 151 Rum laced drink. The smallest one was $14. Very refreshing but be careful to consume carefully or you will definitely get a “brain-freeze.” Actually, I went there for some fried chicken gizzards but they did not have any so I settled for the red beans and rice which also came with bits of sausage. Very tasty

The best fried chicken after a night out! I had some Willies last night for the first time and I have to say it was amazing, from the vibe of the restaurant to the food it is definitely a new orleans staple for a reason! If you want some good fried chicken and a hand grenade off bourbon, I highly recommend

Hands down some of the best fried chicken I’ve had. Willie’s Chicken Shack really delivered — the chicken was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. Every bite was flavorful and fresh.

The fries were hot, well-seasoned, and addictive, and don’t even get me started on the honey biscuits — soft, buttery, and slightly sweet… absolute perfection. They balanced the meal so well.

Honestly? Better than Popeyes. The quality, flavor, and overall experience just hit harder. If you’re in New Orleans and craving fried chicken, Willie’s Chicken Shack is a must-stop. I’d 100% go back.

This was a really great place for a quick late night meal. Their Cajun chicken tenders meal was great! I have a sweet tooth, but their daiquiri’s were a bit too sugary, I got the hurricane, i wish it had more of a fruit punch flavor. I think it was a bit heavy on the Maraschino cherry flavor.
