Husband had oysters and said they were delicious! I don’t eat seafood and was concerned that fried food would taste “fishy”. It absolutely did not! Had chicken strips and they were not from frozen strips but were clearly hand cut from chicken breasts. Very lightly dipped batter, not breaded. Hushpuppies were delicious – not spicy, mild but flavorful. Onion rings were also made from scratch and batter dipped, not breaded. There is a very nice salad bar available as well.

Amazing view. If the weather is conducive to sitting on the deck, do it! We went early in a Sunday evening before the crowds came. Virginia was our waitress and she was great: helpful, friendly and funny! She can sing, too! The local radio station was spitting out oldies and she was grooving!
With Virginia’s help, the four of us chose the seafood platter for TWO and there was more food than we could eat. Now we did get the bacon wrapped shrimp and calamari for appetizers but we were so stuffed and couldn’t finish it! The fried oysters and scallops were my favorites. Our fish choice was grouper.

We stopped by for lunch and it was pretty good. I got the fried grouper sandwich with fries and my wife got the fried shrimp with fried okra and cheese grits.

The waitress was wonderful, kind and attentive. We can see she enjoys her job. The food however was terrible. I ordered the broiled Grouper basket and my husband ordered the fried Shrimp basket. He said the shrimp are big, but, it tastes like old oil. No flavor but that. Dame fir the fries , but, the cole slaw was good. My Grouper was the worst I’ve ever tried to eat. I left 2/3 of it because it was tough, dry and had some sort of oily/watery blackening on it w a terrible flavor. I was concerned Id be sick in the next few hours.The green beans and baked potato were very good. We will not be back. Sorry.

We had one of the best meals here. Our server Summer was so nice and accommodating. I had the bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp dinner and my husband had the grouper fingers topped with shrimp scallops and a cream sauce. We also had fried mushrooms as an appetizer. Everything was so good but we wished we had skipped the appetizer not because it was bad they were delicious but our food was rich and very filling. We will definitely be back. The prices are reasonable for fresh seafood.

My husband and I dined at Family Coastal Restaurant in Eastpoint, Florida yesterday and had an excellent experience from start to finish. I ordered the fried shrimp platter with fries and okra, and my husband had the fried fish with fries and okra—everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and the flavors were spot on. Our server, Virginia, truly made the experience exceptional. She was attentive, friendly, and provided outstanding service throughout our meal. We highly recommend Family Coastal Restaurant for great food and top-notch service, and we will definitely be returning.

Absolutely phenomenal grouper topped with shrimp, scallop, and house-made Alfredo. Wonderful set of flavors. Also a lovely view of the ocean and pleasant service. Overall an amazing place to stop!

We got to the restaurant for an early lunch, about 11:20ish. They just opened up 20 minutes earlier and we were the first customers of the day. We saw the hostess after about 5 minutes or so, were seated and had our drinks a few minutes later. The menu was what drew us there! Great selection of seafood, salads, sandwiches, appetizers and platters of all sorts! I ordered the Sea Monster Po Boy that had grouper, shrimp and scallops, plus cheese grits. Got my seafood fried and was torn between grilled, blackened or fried. The sandwich was very good, but a bit pricey at $19! Don’t recommend the grits as they seemed old and not fresh. If you are in Eastpoint Florida go the Red Pirates (ask for Connie) first, Lynn’s Oyster Bar second, Paddy’s Raw Bar across the bridge on St. George Island third and Family Coastal fourth. They get a 2 in service because I had to go to the front counter and get our servers attention away from her phone to get our bill. Sill Florida Man Approved!

Perfect place to grab lunch with the kids! Everything was lightly fried and not greasy at all. Could have used just a little more salt, but shakers were provided at the table. Service was fast and friendly. Very clean and comfortable feel. We sat outside and even though the weather was very hot, the cool breeze and beautiful view made the porch the best place to sit. Shrimp were my favorite with sweet crispy cornbread, corn nuggets & green beans. Would definitely visit again.

I recommend the lunch specials from 11-2. Grouper was perfect. There is a lunch portion sampler that’s perfect.
