Great 3-course French meal with flexible choices. Portions are small but well done, and service was thoughtful (they even changed cutlery between courses). The salad was a bit bitter, but the steak was excellent — medium rare, perfectly seared and juicy. Would happily come back just for that.

A cozy spot with limited amount of seating but greeted by very friendly and helpful staff members. Came here for brunch and food was tasty, flavourful and curated well. There isn’t a wrong option as all food looks exceptional and tastes just right/unique to your typical brunch. It is hard to get tables of 5+ but it’s possible. Ideal seating is probably around 2-4 people.

This was our first time visiting Le Baratin and we were very pleased with our food! Everything was cooked to perfection and had exquisite taste! The salad, the steak, duck, parsnip soup, and the creme brulee, all perfect!

Our server was very helpful. We love the atmosphere and lighting. The music was not too loud which allowed for talking. We will definitely be back as this has become our top 5 favorite French cuisines in Toronto.

Outstanding. Been here 10+ times. Affordable fine food. Delicious prix fixe menu. Best wine prices I’ve seen in Toronto. Lovely small resto vibe. Same servers for years. Steak and duck are the stand outs. Get a side of fries if you don’t get the steak frites.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner here. The dishes were authentic French cuisine, prepared at a very high level. The restaurant has a casual yet cozy atmosphere that feels warm and welcoming. The staff was attentive throughout the evening and truly helped elevate the experience. An amazing experience for the price, we would definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing!
such a cozy, clean, and warm place — I loved every little detail inside. The service was excellent; the French gentleman who served us did an outstanding job (désolé, I forgot your name!).

The food was good, but I feel it could be a bit better to truly match the atmosphere and service.

Overall, a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back for sure!

Not sure if there was an off day but I didn’t enjoy my meal as much as I expected to. For some reason my steak was burnt and bitter, and looks nothing like other photos on here!
Appetizer was just ok, the pate was good but the tart was cold and soggy. I was a little sad, it was our anniversary and there was no service. The server only came to take the order, give the food, and the bill. They didn’t come and ask us if the food was good or refill the water bottle.
Giving two star because the fries and pate was good. Just really sad and disappointed in the experience.

You definitely need to try it!

A hidden gem that feels like a little island of France. The cozy atmosphere and quiet ambiance make it perfect for a relaxed evening. You can see a glimpse of the kitchen, which adds a special charm. The chef’s menu and rotating specials offer something unique – and everything we tried was simply unforgettable.

We came specifically to try the steak, and it truly melted in our mouths. The salad with warm goat cheese was delicious, and the dressing had a beautifully sharp, balanced flavor. For dessert, we had a peach tart with ice cream – a perfect finish to an incredible meal.

Staff are attentive and genuinely care if you’re satisfied. They even offered to remake the steak if it wasn’t cooked to our preference.

This is a truly respectable establishment – highly recommended for anyone who loves excellent food and thoughtful service.

Super cozy and casual spot on a sunny and cold February day. Authentic French food with great wines and very reasonable prices. We had the brunch crepe which was hearty and amazing. Great value. We’ll be back soon!

It was our first visit to this charming French restaurant. The food was expertly crafted, reasonably priced, with courteous and professional service in a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed house French wine, steak frites, fish, a cheese plate, and a delightful pistachio crème brûlée for dessert. This place is truly a hidden gem.
