The Waffle House, no matter which one you go to, has always been a favorite place of mine. It is a stalwart staple of America. It is a friend to the college students, to the shift workers, to both the rich and the poor. Everybody is welcome there. And the waffles really are worth the visit. This particular location was no exception.

Servers are always fun and nice. April and Mariah are always on top of the food and Fry is great to chat with when it’s not too busy, and Nick always makes a fantastic egg and sausage sandwich.

I dont remember who my server was but she was great! Food came on time. One of the employees started blaring their music on a blue tooth speaker. I didn’t know I was eating at a bar! I had to take my food to go AS SOON as it got to me.

Brought out our food 1 dish at a time. Ordered the all star breakfast and a bacon double cheeseburger wish hah browns. Got a single burger with cold cheese and no bacon burger was eaten by the time they brought me the other patty and bacon so I had those taken off the bill. Sister’s meal was the all star breakfast with added gravy and biscuit… they brought her out a waffle, about 5 minutes later some eggs and hash browns, about 10 minutes after brought her a gravy biscuit, never got her toast or grits. Won’t eat here again. I want all my food served at once, maybe hold the waffle dessert until I’m finished with the main course. Was awful service and I mess to fix at the register and they wouldn’t give us our seniors discounts either and still overcharged us on the food. Don’t waste your time or money here ppl!

The pumpkin spice waffles were awesome. Hubby enjoyed sausage and eggs with toast and hash browns.. Service was great too.I enjoyed the waffle so much I had another. The first waffle had whipped cream on it. I devoured it so fast I had to wait for the 2nd waffle to take a pic. But this time no whipped cream.

I had the Jalapeño Chicken Bowl last night, super great!! I feel like it’s missing something though. That something is hash browns!! If they could add hashbrowns to the bottom of the bowl that would be great!

Believe it or not, this was my first ever Waffle House experience, and it did not disappoint! April and the friendly staff greeted me kindly and made small talk throughout my stay. The chicken hash brown melt was perfectly crispy and melty. I also had a chocolate chip waffle (had to, being a Waffle House). I’ll be in Oak Ridge for a few days and hope to be back. They are open 24 hours a day, and as the young behind the grill said, “if it ain’t open there is a problem.” They even gave me a hat for first timers (and babies). I am a happy man.
