I’m ashamed to admit I’ve lived in this area for over five years and passed this place multiple times. There are so many Mexican options that I always was at another place, but this will be my go to from now on. Exceptional food, and wonderful staff, and very humbly serves some of the most flavorful, excellent tasting food ever! You can tell the people in the kitchen take great pride in these authentic Mexican recipes you won’t find at your average burrito/taco place. I am seriously blown away, and again, embarrassed. I have not been here before! I will be back and soon!

I was very impressed with this place. It’s a modest setting, but the food was delicious and the serving sizes were huge. Great taste and great value for the money, which is exactly what I look for in a restaurant

Was told by someone we met that this place was authentic and very good. I had flaunts and the wife had a burrito. Both were excellent. Nice little place. Pretty select menu, which is something unusual for a Mexican restaurant in my experience. If back in the area, we would definitely come back.

We love this little neighborhood spot! The restaurant is small, but we’ve always been seated quickly and the service has always been great. The drinks & food come out quickly making this spot a great weeknight option!

Obviously, the cecina tacos are delicious! In addition to the food being great, they also have an amazing margarita (no premade mixes)!

Only giving two stars because I come from
The original one on 47th and Winchester in Chicago! And the ceviche de camarón was ok. Even though it was really a cóctel (a lot of tomato juice). Ordered lomo en chile and tampiquena. Lomo plate was horrible. The steak tasted like it was old or not cleaned right. Considering I get this plate a lot, this meat wasn’t good. The frijoles had barely any flavor. They boast about the salad on the plate and it had 1 cucumber and 1 onion and 2 pieces of lettuce. Come on lettuce isn’t that expensive. Especially for $20+ plates. Safe to say, didn’t finish any of our plates. Extremely dispoaointwd everyone reviewed saying the skirt steak was good and that was a lie! The chile de árbol salsa was ok. The guacamole on the tamoiquena plate tasted OLD!! If you like authentic Mexican food go to the city!

What an amazing meal. I went with the house special. It was skirt steak that was perfectly seasoned. My wife had steak tacos. The house made hot sauce and tortillas were fantastic. The shrimp ceviche was killer. We always get the shrimp cocktail if it’s on the menu. Originally we went to a different restaurant that was closed on Monday. My wife found this gem so we decided to give it a try. It has to be some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in months. The staff was very attentive. Great atmosphere. Worth a trip.

This place has potential for improvement if they bring in more wait staff. I stopped in and had lunch here. The food was really good but the service was a bit slow. There was one waitress for the entire restaurant and that is the one thing that can improve. The handmade tortillas, warm salsa and the authentic Mexican food is definitely worth it though.

Let me start off this review with if I can rate this spot 0 stars I definitely would. I ordered Sunday Dec 17 my partner and I are both Mexican so if you like authentic Mexican food worth your money DO NOT GO HERE! I place an order to go, I ordered chilaquiles enchiladas guacamole and a Hugo de 7 vidas and that was the only good part of my order. The chilaquiles were eaten because we were starving! I was in the middle of moving and planned to order out I paid 51$ for everything!!! The chilaquiles and enchiladas were disgusting and soggy. They put more cheese and sour cream than anything else. I picked up my order within 15 min and went straight home and the food was also cold. The worst part was the guacamole I eat it as my mean and it’s was dark brown!!! I didn’t have time to call them immediately because I was moving I was on a timely schedule so I called a few hours later. They wanted to remake my food but after my experience that was not an option. I still had the food and my husband usually cleans his plate but he could finish these soggy greasy enchiladas. I only wanted my money for the guacamole and the enchiladas. The young lady started questioning me on why I didn’t call earlier practically treating me like I’m looking for a hand out and they gave me a hard time and continued to go back and forth with me which made me so angry telling me that guacamole is sensitive but it doesn’t get that brown in 15 min. no manager and said their boss never answers their phone. She said I would get my money back but it was a lie it’s now Friday and I had to call yesterday for an update and their boss wouldn’t answer their phone again Iwill never come here again

I consider this restaurant my number one choice for miles around. The flavors here are the closest thing to authentic Mexican food; my family and I always leave satisfied. The staff is always attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.
