Ended up at this location over the down town one due to construction on the route to down town. This place truly didn’t disappoint. Coffee was always full, service was super fast even with a mostly full diner. We had the Mediterranean omelet and the southern omelette (covered in gravy). Super good food and the serving size for the omelette is massive. Prices are probably as cheap as you can find in the area which is surprising with how good the food is.

Staff were very courteous. They are real busy during the lunch rush but they do their best to get customers in & out. Food was delicious, all fresh ingredients & portion sizes were generous. everything was prepared as ordered, fries were cooked to perfection.

Service was poor, waiter didn’t come by past taking our order, food runner brought us our food and bill.

This place Knows how to do eggs Perfectly!! Blueberry pancakes, crispy on the underneath edges…lots of coffee being served! I don’t drink coffee so can’t near witness to that but I see a lot of refills. Then let’s talk about all the airplane decor, we aren’t too far from the Cherryland Airport. This place carries on the J&S Hamburger name very well.

I can’t say enough about J&S. The owners may have changed over the years but the atmosphere is still the same as it has always been. Not to mention the food is fantastic and the people are even better. As a bonus they do amazing things for our community, not because they have to… but because they want to make a difference. If you are in the area this is a must try… I highly recommend it. They opened another location in Kingsley this year too! Go check it out.

Had the fish sandwich, 2 giant pieces of fish on a bun, it was amazing! Unfortunately, every time I have a fish sandwich somewhere else i compare it to the one from here and am left disappointed. I wish I lived in Traverse so I could get it more often. Will definitely be back next time I visit traverse.
